Do you think Bungie should bring the space combat from Campaign into Multiplayer? IMO it would make for some epic custom games and would completely redefine Halo's air combat system. Vote in the poll what you think and give your reasoning below.

Nope. But you never know, maybe Bungie didn't have time to include space combat in multiplayer and will add it in a future update.

Halo doesn't need starfox battles. Though I'd have to see how smooth the campaign controls are for it. That might change my opinion.

The problem is that space battles are gonna require really specific maps and gametypes.

I don't know. I mean, I really like space combat and the whole system Bungie has come up with. If they do, it will probably be a LOT smaller map with different vehicles probably. Also StarFox battles would be epic! lol

Space battles require big maps and a large number of players and vehicles. Forced vehicle spawns are a step in the right direction, but the most significant problem of xbox live remains: LAG

I can't believe what you just said. Absolutely unbelievable. Everyone knows the biggest problem on Xbox Live is 2-year-olds screaming into the mic. :)

I have to say you are both right. The only way I have found to fix the 2-year-old problem is that I have never gone into matchmaking without being in a party with my friends since 2008.

Well, in Reach, the online play quality is probably better. So as long as no one has a **** connection, big maps and lots of vehicles shouldn't be too much of a problem. And what do you mean by large amounts of players, why would be Bungie increase the 16-player limit just for space battles?

You do put across a point, but with that there's no scoring and you can only have 4 players. Not to mention the Covenant totally interfering with your battle.

If Bungie is going to make a space combat system, why limit it to just Campaign? God knows how many possibilities would come from space combat customization options.

Well once you completely defend Anchor Nine (Objective), all enemies will be dead and you will probably need to travel to a certain place to get out of your ship. Just kill everything and begin the fight when you need to travel. If it is not like that (enemies keep rushing you and you need to escape/mission ends when everything is dead) then just leave one insignificant enemy in the field. It probably wont affect much.

Second, yes there is scoring, but it is negative. So just count how many negative points each player gets from the score that they started the fight with or just keep a mental note of who killed who.

Still, Bungie should incorporate space combat into multiplayer for customization and matchmaking. It would open so many doors for custom games.

Plus it would be annoying if your in a party with 4 pepl and want to play a space battle, you'd have to fire up the first level of campaign then get all the way to the part where you go into space. And by then, you guys might not even want to do a space battle anymore. It would be VERY inefficient.

But still an improvement over Halo 3's matchmaking thanks to lagging issues and whiny kids!
