Well yesterday I was told about this forging trick where you ghost merge an item, place it and then save and end the game. Then you ghost merge the same forge item and use the tilted item as a brace, when save and ended the game after you placed the item its perfectly smooth with the map. All objects tilt after a ghost merge so I'm on Sandbox and i attempt this with the Double Walls, Single Walls, etc; and it just wouldn't work, any suggestions on how to get them smooth?

Combat, what's your issue? Just say it straight up.

And by the way, Ghostmerging isn't an official forging technique, (by the books) so if it doesn't work it's obviously not bungie's fault.

Umm... I have no idea what you are talking about actually. All i know is that all objects move after the game ends regardless of what you do, and there is no exploit to beat that. Its mostly up to using good Pre-Bracing and taking the time to line it up very well.

@the two posts above me: DON'T even start.

What he is reffering to is this: http://www.forgehub.com/forum/forging-101/93485-ghost-merging.html I actually had no idea what he was talking about till I looked it up.

To keep walls strait up and down, if you ghost merge something, it doesn't look like you have may options. Maybe try to interlock instead of ghost merge? Basically to get a wall to be nice and strait all you need to do is use a guide such as a double box. Push your first part of the wall flush against the guide piece you used, then set the wall you just placed to not spawn at start, start a new round, and put your second wall up where you want it to connect to the first, using your guide to ensure it stays up strait. That is all I can think of when it comes to getting nice, clean, interlocked walls.

If you MUST ghost merge, get a second controller and make sure your wall is perfectly placed where you want it before letting go. For more ideas, read the thread I linked to. Personally, I'd just interlock if all you want is a strait & flush wall. As was stated earlier however, items will move after saving and quitting, no matter what, so there may not be a solution to what you are trying to do.
