LOCKDOWNMy first competitive map! Since you guys liked my other maps i decided to make one for the slayer gametype. This map is also good for capture the flag and assault. This map took me about a day to make and it wasn't easy. I had to do the exact thing on each side of the map. Lockdown is placed in the crypt of sandbox and sort of looks like a state prison(my opinion)........... Weapons: sniper x2, sword x1, carbine x2, assault rifle x4, smg x8, spiker x4, shotgun x2, needler x2, plasma rifle x4, mauler x2, battle rifle x8, and machine gun turret x2. Grenades: plasma x14, frag x14. Equipment: inviso shield x2, regenerator x2, deployable cover x2, trip mine x2, power drain x2. PICTURESThis is an overview of the map: The red base: The red base features a sniper tower, a barricade, a trurret, a good amount of cover, and some well placed weapons. The inside: The barricade: The turret: The sniper tower: The blue base: The blue base is structured exactly like the red base with the same weapons. The inside: The barricade: The turret: The sniper tower: Other Spots The shotgun: The shotgun spawns on both sides of the map following the middle line. The inviso shield: The inviso shield spawns under the bridge by each base. The sword: The sword is placed directly in the center of the map giving both teams an equal advantage. I like the design of this map first of all, it reminds me of one of my maps. This map seems to have neat merging and I recommend you put more cover to the side of the bases so that the machine gun turret won't just mow everyone dow with no cover, but all in all, a pretty good map.
Great layout I really enjoy the layout of this map and think it could be for matchmaking, It has good weapons on either sides, and the idea is fantastic. Good job, and keep on forging!
Yeah i was thinking about adding stuff to the sides but to me it seemed like that would clutter the map...... I dont know, I guess if I should add stuff I will...... My final decision will be made based on your reviews.
Lockdown is the name of a Foundry map that used to be on the MLG Pro Circuit, and it was in the MLG playlist. I'd reccomend changing the name of the map to avoid confusion, especially since Lockdown used to be such a popular map. Don't forget to use the search function before posting
