I assume you will be available to rate the map on some sort of scale. I think 1-10 scale. And tags would be words describing the map, used for custom map searching. Like Youtube tagging. Ex; cool, ninja, map, high, super
You'll be able to add tags to your maps; say you make an infection map. You can make a tag saying infection so that if people search 'infection' your map will come up. I didn't hear anything about a rating system, so I can't help there.
hopefully you will be able to search gamertags and find their fileshares from the game, because my main account has a live account that i dont know the email or password too and neither does anybody else. so i have a silver account for downloading maps, and its pretty annoying that everytime i get a map i have to transfer it.
Correct. The system looks to be pretty much like bungie.net tags for H3 files but accessible from the console. I can see this increasing use of tags both from forgers and people downloading maps, and it also looks like you'll be able to search by tag (and I'd guess rating) on the console as well. Bungie seem adamant that this system will make ordering and filtering files by popularity easy enough for them to stay on top of Bungie Faves themselves. I'll be particularly interested to see how that works out.
This. It's basically what you can already do from Bungie.net, but now you can do it in-game. As far as the rating system goes, I'm guessing it's the standard 1-10 scale that Bungie currently uses.
what i want to know is can i search for a particular author, doesnt matter about the tags? has anything been heard about this? like can i search Metawaddledee and download fronk onto my xbox even if he didnt tag fronk?
