Hello and good day ladies and gentleforgers. Kuroda is in this hizzle, and is proud to present, Obsidian! This map is built in the skybubble of sandbox, though you wouldn't think it. Reminiscent of many Legend of Zelda boss battle rooms and other things of the sort, this room was made only for the purpose of creating, in my own eyes, the most beautiful room in forge. It was not an easy task. Enough chit chat, onto the pictures. *no, i did not mean to make a Star of David, it just happened. So I'll let you resettle your brain and put your pants back on while I explain what you're looking at. In the center of the great arena is an orb, made from 40 gold columns. The room and the orb, in its entirety, cost over 1,000 dollars. Along with that, the room is playable! Ever get tired of that same old dull, foundry octogan? Go ahead and put this up instead. There are a total of six spawns on the map, all of are in front of the gold squares. And last but not least, the download link. Obsidian
Amazing; Nothing out of place (according to the pictures) and the lighting is phenomenal. Other than the description (Sandbox canvas with all default objects placed near the ceiling of the crypt.) and making this map playable (perhaps with a boss in the center, a sniper trapped in a box that has to fend off people before they kill him/her), 9.85/10. I happily take the spot as the first post and as the first download.
Oh... my... god is what I said to myself when I looked through the pics. You definitely accomplished your goal of making the 'most beautiful room in forge'. Not only did you make it awesome, you made it playable! (or, at least, as playable as the foundry octagon ) If only you posted this yesterday, then it'd be eligible for the Best of Forge's aesthetic category
Impressive! I'm really excited to see what you can do in Reach. All your maps are great and I'm sure this one took a long time to nail down. Excellent work!
0.o......*pulls his pants back on* This is amazing! I love the orb in the middle made with all the columns I've never seen that done before! But I noticed an error! In the middle of the map on the star all the wall half ends criss-cross except one! Other then that I can't find anything wrong with it! Absolutely amazing! Edit: Right I've played it and ummm... lets see.... OH MY GOD! Its perfectly made it looks spectacular and its incredibly well laid out! There was only on fault and that was the thing I mentioned earlier but after closer examination there two bits a think that aren't perfectly criss-crossing. So close to perfection! 4.999/5 for me!
This is seriously amazing. From the orb (jizz) to the star on the floor (jizz) to every single other part (jizz), this is amazing. And you got the lighting effects just right too. And waaiit.. this was posted 10 hours ago.. What timezone do you live in? Because if you live in GMT+6 or higher (GMT+7, GMT+8, etc.), then you technically posted it on the 3rd of August, so it is technically allowed to be nominated for in the Best of Forge Aesthetic Competition. And trust me, I would nominate it. I will nominate it anyway, and if the Forgehub staff are mean enough not to allow it in the competition, then I will cry and scream.

Lol, I showed this to my friends......... and since they don't know ghost merging (they only know placing stuff ), this AMAZED them. They just sat there, thinking to themselves 'how in the world did he make that by placing items?!' after they saw how amazing it looked, we played a 1v1v1 (3 person FFA) with snipers, and it was a lot cooler to play on this than in that old octagon although, I forgot to turn nades off so the pit-part in the middle made it easy to use nades but, this wasn't and never should be meant to be playable, so it's awesome! BTW, I found my pants in the lost and found bin today.... I forgot to put a new pair on this morning
Those are columns?!? WOW! I thought that they were walls at first. I think I know who will get Best of Forge for Aesthetics...
Spectacular; the construction is flawless, the design unique, and the end result a true beauty. That said, if only you'd released this sooner! It's a shame that with Halo 3 on the way out, I probably won't get a party size big enough to play this gem. Please do something to recreate it in Reach. Exceptional work. -=Moxus=-

Oh my God. W-O-W Best aesthetic map ever. absolutely genius, the coloring, the ball in the center, just everything I could go on, this is just.... wow.
I actually became aroused by this map. I kid, obviously. But Obsidian is one of the greatest pieces of Aesthetic forging ever made, if not the best. Every piece is perfectly in place, and the column sphere is mind-bending. How did you manage to get them all so perfect?! The filters and colours also fit the map superbly, and add to the incredible atmosphere. I can see this map being used for all sorts of Machinimas. Definately download this.
This is by far the most beautiful map I have ever seen in Forge. Well done. This will get a permanent spot on my hard drive.
is there a point to this map? I know its in the aesthetic section but what is it really supposed to be?
