Most of it is based off of the large image bungie posted that they took for the forge world video. I've also been looking at random objects here and there in images they've posted. I actually want to build the set in Maya once reach is out to get some practice with it.
I second that this thread should be stickied. Once again thanks to Mick and Bartoge for taking the time to do this.
Since you guys are making these with pretty good scale, anyone hazard a guess at how large in feet the length of forge world is? Say from the edge of alaska and gulch's blue base beach to say the extreme other end by the pillar? because i'm trying to figure out just how long in scale the map is compared to what I wish to build.
Do you have the round object where its like a half circle with ramps? Also what website creator did you use to make that.
The one from ascension or the one from sanctuary? (top or bottom of the picture). I've done the ascension one and we'll get to the other one soon. Also the website is wordpress engine
Don't forget to let me mirror the files please (We discussed this in the shoutbox) I think this set should get featured on the bungie.net homepage, I mean you have re-created a whole fricken set of objects from short clips of videos and a grainy screenshot.
Well since it not ALL the objects I doubt it, Just the ones we have been shown so far. Can't wait to get the new object's, learning how to use that program slowly but will be easier with out my mind thinking about how the new objects could make it easier.
If you look closely at the GT video on asylum, you can see some items that were not in that picture, like an object similar to a stone column. Also there is in the middle of asylum, a curved wall, and a wall bent at a 30 Degree. Another item that wasn't in the picture, was in the BWU last week, it is like the dish, but inversed,
Hi Mickraider and everyone else, I, like everyone else, can't wait for Forge 2.0, and this is exactly what I need to make sense of all the scribbled writing on paper of my map plans : ) I do have one problem though, I've never used any sketchup program before. Could someone please post a link to where I can download one? It would be very appreciated. Thanks for the objects, Mickraider, I can't wait to use them! xD EDIT: I found it, thanks!
Sweet, I may mess around with these. I haven't used Sketchup in forever, I'm not sure if I even remember how to use it o_o
