Territory Defense on Central Command By: Given To Fly Download Map Download Gametype Gametype - Territory Defense is a game of two teams. Defenders will start inside a large tower structure to kill all attackers trying to steal the territories. They recieve explosive weapons along with far-range weapons, such as sniper rifle. The defenders are not able or allowed to escape the tower, only shoot through slits in the tower. This time around the attackers receive mongeese, warthogs, and a missle-pod. It is relatively similar to older versions of territory defense, but plays differently. There are six territories to defend. All of which have natural cover along the sides and back. Once a territory is captured, it gets locked, because the defenders cant unlock it anyway. Each round is 4 minutes long, and there are four rounds. Territories take 30 seconds to capture. If sudden death should occur, you have an extra 15 seconds to capture it. Map Variant - This generation is on Sandbox. The game takes place in the middle level. A large hexagon tower trimmed with gold, or map cleavage, stands tall right in the center. It has 3 levels. A bottom spawn room complete with carbines and goodies, a middle level, supplied with sniper rifles, fuel rod guns, and more. The top level has more enjoyable tools to kill people with. Basically, the attackers spawn directly underneath the tower, free from danger. They have 2 warthogs, 2 mongeese, and a mission. Storyline - "Rouge team, have you gained control yet?" "Na sir, these sons of bitches don't want us to take this place. We're under heavy fire! Wheres air support?" "On the way spartan, on the way." "We need it now! Wait, hornet imbound! [explosion] Ah ****, they blew it right outta the sky!" "Hang on spartan, theres more on the way." "No no no! Thompson is down, I repeat, Thompson is down. Sir we need reinfor... [Transmission error, were sorry please wait.] "Spartan, do you read? Rouge team, come in... I sure hope they can get the job done... Pictures - This is the defender's spawn room at the bottom level of the tower. This is the attacker's spawn, underneath the tower. AHhhhhhh i love this. I used to play something like this i threw together with my friends before sandbox, it was really poorly made so i didnt post it, but this looks great. The rock structures are well done and the middle looks good as well. Bravo for this.
Nice tower. Good choice with the fuel rod cannons. But you should have only put mabe 2. Also, what is the weapons COUNT? You seem to only put the name. Wait unless theres only one of each?
Thats pretty kewl. Im surprised that nobody has done something like this before, seems like such an original map with such a simple concept. How far away from the territories do you have to be to get them, atleast far enough to hide behind a rock, right? Also is there an overshield on the map? I think I saw one in the screenshots...
There is one overshield, and a custom that makes you invisible for a little while. The territories are not capturable behind rocks. Trust me. Testing was perfect as long as people know what theyre doing. Its very balanced. As for the quantity of weapons, i will update the reason. Spikers accually work well, since they reach. Dual spikers raging toward you is intimidating. As for the fuel rod cannons, they are all integrated well. not too many. seriously, get a game before saying too much.
Someone did. Very well forged everything. It looks like a lot of fun. Though the Spikers seem REALLY useless. There are also too many Fuel Rod Cannons.
This was very fun to play on the other night! Clean forging with a simple mini game concept equals WIN. I remember dominating with the sniper and keeping the other team from getting those last territories. Im not sure how many snipers u put on this map but I believe any more than 1 would be to overpowering since the unlimited ammo. Great game though dude.
This is an awesome game, props to you for reviving it with Sandbox and doing a damn good job of it. I'm guessing you changed some stuff since I played on it, but when I did it was still really fun. Really nice and detailed forging, especially the cover on the ground. You gotta be pretty creative to make that look nice and natural and work well with the game itself. Again, props to you. This is something to be proud of.
The gameplay seems to be working out pretty well, but everyone is playing Reach: Beta... I feel like we should get a custom game in on this again soon. Anyway thank you for all your guys' positive comments.
I've never actually played (or even heard of) this gametype, but it looks and sounds very fun! I'll be downloading and playing (as soon as the beta is over) with a party of my friends.
masterforge I just played the map and tested it very nice concept i think the outside of the could use some work but over all the map is great nice job matty81022
I remember playing something very similar to this on foundry back in the day but this one is 10x better forging and gameplay. It's fairly balanced and an interesting concept.
