Hey guys, I just had a cool map idea. It would be sort of like all of the space fight/dogfight maps, but with 2-3 man teams on Falcons. They would basically spawn on a platform right beside their Falcon or just spawn inside of it (and have it really high so the animation of your person getting in is done before it hits the death barrier near the ground), and the map would be floating SAM-site structures/platforms floating around. The map would also utilize the entire space of Forge world. The SAM-site thing would be rocket hog turrets sticking up through the platform (and the platforms would be just above the death barrier that's under them). Also, everyone would have 1 life for each of the rounds (I'll decide on the round count when I get Reach) EDIT: Ok, since I wasn't supposed to post a thread, can the mods please delete this thread or lock it? That's a really neat idea, and I bet that it would work really well with Reach and the scale of Forge world would make for really epic battles, but don't they already have a designated thread for level ideas?
Other people posted threads for theirs And that's what I was getting at, but it'd sort of rely on lots of people (2v2s would be boring, and 1v1s would be bumper cars in air.....). And also, I would add some other aesthetic things for the sake of it being a map. Maybe some bases like Valhalla's in random places. Maybe make the SAM-site things floating Valhalla base-shaped platforms
I'd love to see a whole bunch of Dogfight maps! There could also be a territories version of Dogfight called Air Superiority where you get points for controlling territories in the sky.
SAM-sites/Falcon-switching landing pads for territories? Yeah, it'd be reeeeeeaaaallllyyy hard to control them all though :/ Also, what happens to a teams territories when the team is out of lives? I know that normal red vs blue games it just ends, but what if it's multi-team territories? Would they just go back to neutral? (I've never played anything that would be multi-team territories on Halo 3 OR Halo 2 OR Halo: CE )
Please don't post an individual thread focused entirely on one map idea for Halo: Reach. However much I'm sure you like your idea, you can build almost anything on Forge World, so your idea isn't more important than the next guy's. Here is a thread to post any map ideas for Forge World you may have now or sometime in the future. All these individual map threads do is flood the discussion section for Reach's Forge, when really this section should be full of discussion. I hope you realize the difference between ideas and discussion, and also, INB4LOCK. Thank you for letting me post in your thread. Once again, your map idea is great and all, but it's nothing special that deserves its own thread.
Hey Douchekid11, stop posting this same thing on EVERY SINGLE MAP IDEA POST, screw off asshole. Ontopic, I think it's a great idea, just make sure to forge it before people decide to steal your idea. That's why I don't tell anyone my map ideas. Post it up here when you get done with it in September
