Welcome map searchers, to my newest map, "Matador Arena". Matador Arena is based off Bull Fighting, which originated in Spain. The Bull (infected) has to splatter the Matador(s) and try not to get killed. The Matador's (human) objective is to either kill the bull, or last the full length of the match, which is five minutes. The Matador(s) respawn(s) in blue room, in which they have ten seconds to get out, or they become trapped. Also, fusion coils fall from the sky every ten seconds to attempt to kill anyone who dared to stay behind. The Bull respawns in the red room, in which they MUST wait ten seconds before a gravity lift appears, allowing them to get to the chopper. If the Bull decides to stay behind, they also will get trapped, twenty seconds after the gravity lift appears. Fusion coils will also fall from the sky every thirty seconds to try to kill the bull, if they decided to stay behind. The supported game type is "Bull Fight", which is supplied at the bottom of the post with the map. Well this certainly brings back memories. Games and maps that represent matador, such as this map and another well know map called bull dome, are very fun, yet very simple in idea. Maps like this with a simple concept can easily be turned into something far more original, and every new map of the same type brings back something that makes it better than the rest, such as better aesthetics, unique twists to the gameplay, and many other things. I do not think that this map brings forth any of those things, unfortunately. This map is the exact same as all of the other matador type maps out there, only one bull that comes out at a certain point while the humans are in an open arena, and I honestly don't think that it is even as well forged as the others. You should take the time to make a game like this more unique than the others, such as maybe TWO or THREE bulls that come into an arena with multiple levels and obstacles to enhance gameplay. I am not saying that you should do those things, because that would change the entire game, I was just putting it out there that this map isn't very original, and putting the time to think this through could definately make this better. Also, for the map itself, I don't think it looks that great at all. You need to merge a lot more, if not every piece. If you don't know how to merge, go to forging 101 of this website and read the tutorials and maybe view the tutorial videos to make this map 10x better at least. I give you the best of luck with your future forging, and if you improve, I look forward to seeing other maps you post. EDIT: I went back and reviewed your pictures and noticed that you did merge in a couple spots, but you still need to merge A LOT more.
I think those are some really great tips. I did merge though. Mostly outside the walls, so it wasn't visible in any of my pictures. I did merge the blue room's entrance though. I also like the idea of more than one bull, even though in Spain there's only one bull and one matador. In my next version of this map, I will try to add: -another bull -merge inside the map more -add some unique aesthetics -maybe add some scenery within the arena Thank you for all your great tips RittSea! They really helped me. Until next time forgehub. -MattV01
