I have made a rather disturbing discovery. Today, 04/29/08, I took a look at the "Members List." I sorted it by number of posts and was surprised to see that 72% (8224/11371) of our members have ever posted. NEVER POSTED! This got be thinking, 'How many people have over 20 posts? How many over 100?' I did the number crunching and prepared a histogram (graph) for you.

    Clipped to show better proportion.

    I hate posting...

If i dont have anything to say in a thread i dont post, whilest some people just post to every damn thread, just to post.

That would explain my lack of post counts.

Welcome to every forum in the world.

People sign up to download maps more than post.

This seems obvious that more than half of the mebers have never posted. Is this wasting memory?

You've been posting for only three days and have 62 posts? Generally hyperactivity is worse than inactivity. I'd prefer to see a handful of quality posts than a plethora of useless ones.

Well, most people just use this site to find the best maps and could care less about the community. But, what are you going to do, it happens?

now a days i join parties and ppl are chatting about Fh not saying there posting but saying go there for awsome maps.We should make a rule you cant downalod a map until 10 post with more than 30 characters and no like legtters randomly that would get ppl used to posting and build up a stronger community =)

good idea MLG, but i think that could just up the spam on the site, as if there isn't enough already lol. Although something better would have to be made to help this. It's a good starting idea, but it needs to be upped and improved, like you need to say one feedback comment to the map your posting on. It has to be useful too, not "Cool map, looks good." But something like, "I liked the idea and concept, however I feel that..." that'd actually be a good format for people to use. Click comment, then choose, "Suggestion or Feedback?" and the suggestion one says what I just said above, and then a feedback one like, "I really love the..." idk, those phrases could be fixed and tweaked a little, but that'd be good and reduce spam, while upping feedback for maps, which will improve maps. And it also ups posts for the site, to lower that graph! Just a thought....

I've been pretty busy, so I haven't been doing an entirely large amount of posting. Plus, I've been a member for hardly a week.

It's no big deal, if people can come here and grab some maps they'll go back and enjoy then all is well.

Agreement, nothing sad here. Imagine if ALL of these people posted, it would be a mess.

Oh my god thats so lame. Its not like i'm just posting right now to get my post count up (man i want to break 100) Nice map I'll totally DL lol.

Yea I'm not serious, I agree with those above me. Its kinda annoying sifting through threads when half the posts are just crap to bring up your post count or someone saying "Cool" and nothing else.
