Hey everybody, I'm sure you're wondering "Where the hell did this kid get the object list from!?" But obviously, I haven't gotten the object list for Forge World, I'm simply compiling a list that includes all of the objects we know about so far. When the time comes that Bungie releases a full list, I will replace the list I have compiled with the official list. If I am missing any objects, inform me and I will make sure to add them. Below is an image of just about every object on Forge World. For those of you who were living under a rock on Thursday, Bungie recently announced Forge 2.0, and the map that would be going along with it; Forge World. There is roughly a total of 150 objects to choose from and $10,000 in budget to spend, so your creativity won't be wasted here. Here is a list of the objects included on Forge World that we know of so far by watching the gameplay videos and ViDoc. It's possible that I am missing objects, and two major objects I am missing are the Death Volume objects. I don't know what section these Death Volumes go in, but there is a High Death Volume object that kills players who pass through it instantly, and a Low Death Volume object that warns players that they will be killed in 10 seconds if they don't get back into the map. It is a solid object, but objects do not snap to the lines on the grid, it is simply for visual usage and can be placed anywhere on Forge World. * = I do not know the true location or name of this object. Additional Facts Regarding Forge World's Objects The grid shown in the image at the top of the thread, and in the object list is a solid object. The Revenant is a brand new vehicle that is somewhat like a cross between the ghost and wraith. There are now two types of barriers; one being named a low volume barrier, and the other being named a high volume barrier. The low volume barrier acts like a hill in King of The Hill or a spawn area, except the low volume barrier sets up a barrier that if passed, will warn players to get back to the battlefield within 10 seconds or they will die. The high volume barrier is a more deadly version of the low volume barrier that acts as a death barrier, so when a player passes the set area, that player will die instantly with no warning. Players cannot swim... The teleporters can be edited to allow players, heavy vehicles, light vehicles, and air vehicles to pass though them. Each option can be either enabled or disabled. Teleporters can now be edited to increase the size of the teleporting effect. The size of the physical teleporter will not be changed, but the area of effect will either increase or decrease. Armor abilities can now be placed in forge, and just like a weapon, a player can pick them up and swap out their current armor ability for a new one. Every object has three different physical states, whether it is physical, whether it can be placed in the air when let go of, or whether it can fuse itself into other objects like with ghost merging or no-clip merging. The budget that you start out with on a blank canvas version of Forge World is $10,000. That is almost 7 times more than what we were given on Sandbox. There is no OLN on Forge World, each object has a set number of objects within its group that can be placed. This number is kept track of, and the player can refer to it at any time. There are roughly 150 different objects on Forge World, not including the objective items, spawns, teleporters, and any existing items from Halo 3. The respawn points now display a holographic spartan character above them. There is a new objective item named the Infection Safe Zone. Scenery type objects such as rocks are now placeable. There is enough budget and objects on Forge World to build a decently sized map that covers the entire World. There are 8 placeable Falcons. There are 4 placeable Scorpions. There are no civilian vehicles on Forge World. Only mongooses can change color. The target designator didn't make it to Forge World but will still be featured in other multiplayer maps.
I already know for sure that the Grid is a stand alone object, and not a section. I just formatted it that way so it stands out, because in the real Halo: Reach forge, when you go to grid, it's one object, and doesn't bring you to another section. Though I did catch that 15x15 grid in the image... Thanks for your support pinohkio, this actually took me a long time to type up, because all of the objects were spread out within like 5 different videos.
Do I spy a shade turret just next to the Falcon, next to the top left of the grid. There's also black, red and blue mongooses in that pic. Ohh also I can see at least two doors and a window in that pic, although I'm not sure what the dimensions are. They're to the right of the ghost just below the triange things
The colored mongooses are all mongooses on the set list. It's just that they have advanced settings that allow you to change their colors, as well as the rest of the vehicles and some base structures. I'm trying to keep this as alike to the menu you will see in Forge mode, and as of now, everything is as it is in forge. So please give me an object name and where to put it, and I'll put it there. Gigantic Wall does not seem like a set object name or a place to put it... XD
Great thread. Must have taken quite a lot of research. In fact, I didn't even know there was a Spartan in the picture until I looked really close. Those objects are huge!
I wonder if the grid is solid, or if it's just a grid to space out stuff, etc. I wanna make chess. --- Also, sticky this ****.
Haha, I was gonna say "Hey! there's a spartan in there!" but I guess someone already spotted him I'm really kind of upset, because they still have the man cannon as "cannon, man" I'm so sick and tired of everyone calling it a cannon man! How can you cannon a man?!?!?!
Now there's Cannon, Vehicle. That's why. To differentiate the things as well as to sound professional
Well I'm pretty sure you'd die if you were thrown as far as the vehicles in Reach are thrown. Remember Bloo, you take fall damage in this game.
So I was wondering if anyone has started working on reach sketchup compents? I've started to make some very basic ones and was wondering if there was a group going that I could help out with
Dang... Over 150 objects? Good luck Mick! I was just about to ask who was going to come up with the sketchup components too.
Ferrex: Unfortunately, the civilian vehicles didn't make the final Forge World palette. Including Forky. On the upside, every combat vehicle did (except the Saber. Forge World is big, but not "outer space" big. Sorry to burst that bubble. Custom Powerups are still available. I think you can even place more of them now Q.How many variations of custom powerups are there. Before, we only had the one yellow kind. Is it possible that there's a second or third custom power-up with it's own separate traits? A.Just the one Custom Powerup I'm afraid. Q.In the Gadgets menu, I saw a thing called explosives. Does this mean fusion coils and mines? or does this mean that I can make an explosion happen every 10 seconds here (for example) A.Just Mines, Fusion Coils, and their ilk. Q.I noticed some "Camera" looking objects they where above spawns and usually the same color....what are those? A.Those are the viewpoint you see from while selecting loadouts. Sort of like the pre-game view of the map. Q.ferrex, are health packs placable or is there a set "wall with healthpack on it" ? A.They're placeable. Been trying to dodge the Elephant questions, but they keep coming up. Time to face the music: no Forging Elephants this time around either. Sorry guys.
The Revenant isn't the Shade, its a two person Wraith/Ghost hybrid. Also, thats not all the objects in the picture, several things, such as the Revenant, are missing. And I don't see a Banshee either.
