Ok so I just got an HD PVR and set up my Youtube channel. Like most players with their own setups, they have 3D intros to go with their videos. I've seen programs like Cinema 4D, Blender, etc. that do this kind of thing, but it seems kind of difficult to make a good intro. So my question is: have any of you 4chubbers tried using a program to make an intro or even do it now? Is it as difficult as it looks? And by a good intro I mean something like... YouTube - Modern Warfare 2: R0K's S&D Ninja Defuse Montage (MW2 Gameplay Montage) (the one after the Machinima intro)
Oh jesus. That's pretty complex. That's modeling and all that jazz. If you weren't to go into the detailed modeling, After Effects is pretty easy to learn thanks to VIDEO COPILOT | After Effects Tutorials, Plug-ins and Stock Footage for Post Production Professionals
Well it doesn't need to be anything too complex. I just want it 3D :/ Here's what I've made in Sony Vegas 9 so far: YouTube - New intro? Basically I want that to be my intro, but with the 3D text at the end, with maybe a camera pan overhead that zooms into the text at the end.
I don't know the exact process, but I know how you'd make it. read this a while ago if you make progress please let me know because I've been long looking into this.
Hey Ive done a few 3d work, nto so much intros but if you want one i could try one for you? I use 3ds max and Cinema 4d + sony vegas and after effects. At the airport so cant see your youtube vids but yeah.
ive done After effects intros but not so much 3D work but i know alot of guys who do. look up krayes designs on youtube or I rockstarr x i think his name is. good luck my youtube is www.youtube.com/AchillesEDITING By the way. nothing great on there though. im a newbie
They animate the stuff that requires complex animation inside of their modeling program, and then import the file into After Effects where they add the finishing effects and just make everything look nicer.
OH MAN Zombieland intro is by far the best movie intro EVER. They use boujou to do the tracking so they can get it exactly perfect in the scene. The text is probably made in maya or 3ds max. They then use physics (dont know exactly how) and animations on the text to make it act that way. Once they do that they will drop it into after effects or final cut and add shadows, do further lighting touches or that stuff to make it look absolutely perfect. I think thats a general explanation of it. Obviously i can't do that if your wondering >.> EDIT: Just watched both your vids Nor and the first is a bit to far for me hahaha. I like your intro so far, i think you should tighten up the syncing more. I can make that into a quick 3d text if you want? With the camera pan like you said.
