I have a bunch of maps that I'm working on but I doubt I'll finish them by Reach (mainly since my thumbs hurt from all of the recent ghost merging). Once Reach comes out we'll have two games with forge. This being forgehub and all, are we still going to have features/favorites from Halo 3? It would make sense that if a great map comes out in Halo 3 then it should be featured. Anyway, just curious about this, sorry if it's in the right section but this seemed like the most fitting.
Im willing to bet that if there is a map from halo 3 that is just so orgasmic that it needs to be featured RIGHT NOW then it will be, but since most of the high-octane forgers will be going to reach anyway i doubt that there will be many maps that are that good. Because you are really gonna end up comparing reach maps to halo 3 maps, and the fact that forge will most likely be so much more than it is now is enough to say that only the best of maps will be featured. And the best will probably come from reach.
^ True story... On another note, Reach forge, may just be completely and utterly gay, in which all the forgers will still rod Halo 3
Yeah, I suppose that's true. I haven't kept up to date on Reach, but have they said that there would be a sandbox map from the start? If not then the maps won't be as great as they could be. Even if immovable objects for ghost merging are present you're still working with the basic map geometry, which is only good to a certain extent - there's only so much to do with the given geometry.
If this is anything like making an actual map and not just adding more warthogs, then I don't think anyone will be forging on Halo 3 anymore. Well, face it. Down to its core, without all that fancy technique stuff, we're basically just playing fusion coil Jenga and deleting each other's fence box robots while racing each other in Mongooses (Um. Mongeese?) and Ghosts. Actually, this sounds like I've taken out any creativity, too, so maybe that was too extreme. But still. In Reach's Forge, I want to be able to do all the stuff I want to from the start without anyone having to find a bunch of glitches.
First you've gotta wonder who is crazy enough to play Halo 3 after Halo: Reach releases. If Halo: Reach's forge is everything it's been made out to be, and that Bungie has actually used forge to create some of their multiplayer maps, then forge will be a map creator and not a map editor. Anyways, more about Halo: Reach's forge this thursday. Forge Hub's main focus is going to be Halo: Reach, so Halo: Reach's maps are what will be featured. This is exactly how we felt after Sandbox released and we thought Foundry maps would never get featured.
I would have sympathy for people if there hadn't been a year in between Halo game releases. If you can't somehow manage to save $50 over the course of an entire year, you have a serious problem. XD
I hope (an I am pretty sure) will FH continue to support Halo 3, sure, the main focus will be on Reach but Halo 3 is still out there and I am sure we'll see some great belated H3 Maps, it wold be a shame if the creator would not get any credit for his work
That it would LD, that it would. Also DEBO, if you were in my shoes, you wouldnt say that... It's extremely hard to own a house / car on your own with bills to pay and to still continue a mediocre social life before even considering saving any money (even if its 10p a day)
