i tried my hand at making some sig pics the other day and i made these. ^this messed up a little bit plz bear in mind that i made these using what limited resources i could use on photobuckeys edit feature. i have photoshop but as of yet have been unable to figure out how it works
text is too complicated... vignettes are way too dark and compact, when you chose to use them. the stocks you used are bad quality and theres not really any depth at all. if i was you i'd consider fixing these things for the next signatures you make and you'll be on your way
Biggest point for me here is that the text here is pretty bad. There are a bunch of simple text tutorials out there. It really isn't that hard, it's just, a lot of people can get it wrong or not as good as it can be, and your text has the ability to really make or break your final result. It's just as important as everything else (when you choose to include it, that is), keep that in mind. Like with here (in any of them), it doesn't really fit at all; not what it actually says, but how it looks and compliments your piece as whole. A few things right off the top of my head are: Keep in mind the rule of thirds, try and never position your text in the corners unless it absolutely fits, which I find rare; don't have it so that your text is so off and all over the sig, that distracts from your other effects and the focal; in this case, you should try using a smaller size and less harsh fonts, and colors that go well with the general color of your sig; never, EVER cover the main parts of your render or focal with bad text, like with the second one. Remember, that's just what I can think of right now and put into words. Don't know if that actually helped you or not, I was never one to give actual instruction, I just made the things. As for everything else, well, just keep practicing, you'll definitely get better in no time.
These just look like a bunch of images pulled from crackdown 2 with borders +[bad] text. The second one is unreadable, the text falls into the background and blends in too much
