I am posted this map on XF but Forgehub gets a good look at a truly unique conquest game. GBCQ(Game Boy Conquest) was a map designed for normal conquest as well as a spinoff I created, Conquest 2D. Conquest 2D traits are all the same as normal conquest except for lower gravity and the custom powerup gives you 50% leech and more mobility (50% gravity and 90% speed) The weapons list: -SMG 8x 2 clips 20 sec respawn Starting point for each team -Brute Shot 4x 2 clips 30 sec respawn Starting point -BR 2X 2 clips 60 second respawn and doesn't respawn at start. Middle territory -Magnum 4x 2 clips 10 second respawn Middle territory -PR 4x 30 second respawn middle territory -Spiker 4X 2 clips 45 second respawn Middle territory -Frag 8X 10 second respawn By SMGs -Spike grenade 4x 10 second respawn By spikers Here are the pictures Action Shotz! This map supports up to 10 players and another version of this will be coming out for an infection variant I am making. Well that's it for this map comment and Dl please. OH and for some controversy stopping power there is only linear paths you can take on this map. You go one way you exit out the other. test it out and you will see what i mean. I can't consider this a conquest map just because it's not on the ground, flat, horizontal. It just looks like weapon/powerups/equipment/effects/etc all crammed together in a small place. It's just not Conquest to me. imo The forging does look good though props.
Indeed this is not like normal conquest. In fact that's why i said it was a spinoff. Not all conquest maps need to stick to the ground. It is vertical conquest to say the least.
Yeh it is cramped together....and there is lots of weapon spam...usually when ur working with a conquest map, aesthetics r key. Open it up a little and im sure u still hav budget left so..add some aesthetics.
Ok I might make a V2 that's bigger. Oh and it looks like a lot of weapons but it truly isn't when it all comes down to it. The point of this is to support 2D like gameplay, so I will make it longer. But when it comes down to wideness, Im not widening it an inch. Lol sorry.
Wait, was this the map I was on? I was the Hayabusa guy on red team! I didn't know you were testing this (although I did remember you said you were making a conquest map...). I really enjoyed testing it, to say the least. I really like the vertical gameplay, and it was impossible to camp because you camp under one of the platforms leading to the next floor and a guy jumps down from the other side. IMO, it was a great map to play on. Question, did you have to make any changes after we tested it?
Actually yes the first time it was tested there was an accidental 6th territory I put in to help with the BR spawn at the top, that was deleted. Second the territories touched a lil to much all the top team needed to do was crouch and they could contest and capture the middle territory and the bottom territories. They no longer touch in this manner. Otherwise then not much was changed.
So THAT's how we were losing They cheated Because they weren't on our level and they kept taking the territories from above
Conquest is linear. If it isnt linear, it isnt conquest. Not even a spinoff. You can change things to make a different version of conquest but this is a different game entirely. I suggest editing the OP for that so people wont get all pissy-eyed about the discrepencies. That aside, it still plays uniquely. Its really fun, and enjoyable and there are not many issues with the maps building other than sloppiness and way too many weapons. Which are someone big problems, but im assuming you dont plan on fixing them correct?
Well indeed it has multiple pathways so it isnt exactly "linear" but there is only one path to take to the enemy. choose a road and u must stick with it. Sloppyness only thing i see accounting sloppyness could be the screen or it could be the columns and wall end u see on the screen. that was intentional to make it look like a pipeline in a sewer. Acccounting the weapons i am takin out spikers and magnums cuz no one ever used em. I am gonna keep the spike nades and maulers though
I quite like the look of this it is definately original. The merging is very clean. It isn't the best but it is very good. I don't play conquest much but it looks like it could play very well. I will download it and have a look at it
Lol I am making more conquest maps (some for my special conquest spinoffs) ANd there is one more map coming out that i made for conquest 2D. THis is the only hint i am giving. No map preview or nothin
