Morphogenesis

    Morphogenesis is my first attempt at a competetive map. It's also one of my first maps that i've gone into knowing what I was doing. The map is being built specifically for 1 Flag and 1 Bomb. I'm also going to see how hill and slayer play out once it is testable.

    Here's a little bit of what i've done so far. These are really just ideas that i'm working with and i'm working on the vertical issue.

    Constructive critcism would be greatly appreciated because i've never done a competitive map before.

    As of now, I'm really digging the middle piece, and I'd suggest building outwards from it. The rest of your structures just look out of place right now, none of them seem like they could connect and flow. Just try to build a map that flows through and around that middle piece, 's my idea.

    This is basically all I was going to say. The buildings don't flow at all, meaning your map won't have that great of the flow for the most part.

    Thirded on the above two comments.

    It looks like you've bunched together a load of objects in a sack and put a bomb in the middle. All of the structures are completely differently themed and seem very out of place. Try keep to one initial theme. I quite liked the central structure and the first picture of the base (assuming it is a base)
    Only thing you should do with that is make sure you have at least one ramp connecting each layer, a player should never HAVE to jump anywhere really to reach a specific destination, especially a goal, however, jumps tend to be quicker than walk all the way around to a ramp.

    All the radom structures are going to be removed. I have already started making pathways extending to the centerpiece to add some height variation. I'm working my way out from the center now and I can already see the map moving in the right direction.

    When you said ramps in the bases, did you mean on the outisde or inside?

    I have been doing a lot of work on this map and have been doing my best to make the map unique.

    I'm struggling with the vehicle bay areas for each base. I've implemented some height variation into the map and I think its coming together. Constructuve criticism would still be helpful.
