    Download Skyway Here.

This is the original design for my Bungie 500 map--a simple banked oval suspended in the air. Several issues with Forge and game variants had to be addressed by altering this design (see the description after the pictures if you care).

    Issues:
    • Zero width VIP goal areas don't trigger scoring. I believe that if they did, I could have the goal move on arrival and the player would only receive one point for going through it, regardless of speed.
    • The minimum time between forced VIP goal area movements is 10 seconds. Lap times on Skyway can be as low as 7 seconds. If the goal area moves right before you go through it, you can go through it again on your next lap and receive no credit for a lap. This lead to players intentionally slowing down to lap times over 10 seconds to score points faster.
    • 0.5 width VIP goal areas can trigger scoring multiple times in one lap (if it is set to move on arrival). From my testing, intentionally slowing down as you drive through the goal area can trigger scoring as many as 7 points.
    • Having multiple VIP goal areas placed in a "line" can trigger multiple scores. For example, if I had two VIP goal areas in the banked turn:
      • On the first lap, you pass over the first (inactive) VIP goal area--no score change.
      • On the first lap, you pass over the second (active) VIP goal area--you score a point and the goal area moves to the first goal area. The first goal area is behind your current location on the track, so it will act as the start/finish line on the second lap.
      • On the second lap, you pass over the first (active) VIP goal area--you score a point and the goal area moves to the second goal area.
      • On the second lap, you pass over the second (active) VIP goal area--you score a point and the goal area moves to the first goal area. You have now received credit for completing three laps instead of two. You can increase the number of VIP goal areas, but the issue will remain. This makes sense, and removes this goal area placement as a possibility.
    • Placing the VIP goal area at an angle such that only the player's head goes through it can still trigger multiple scores in one lap. Although the area your body passes through is far less than if it were flat on the ground, you can still slow down and receive as many as 3 points in a single lap (my best case scenario).

Nice looking race map, although very similer to the origanal 500.

I was about to call you a copycat but then I just realized that your the same person that made the B 500, lol.

Haha, that's funny. Bungie 500 literally uses the same item placement as this map for most of the upper race track. I created this map first, but couldn't come up with a good way to keep track of laps (read the rant in my first post). I just thought people might find this map interesting. Not as many people seem to enjoy Skyway, but a few people I've shown it to absolutely love the fact that it's an oval (NASCAR fans?). Sorry if there was any confusion, but I did indeed make both this and Bungie 500. :)
