Remember when I said EA wasn't a bad company? I lied. Why do I say this? 1. Their new policy on used games 2. Type Halo Reach onto youtube and you'll find this advertising
Those advertisements can hardly be considered degrading of Reach. EA isn't stupid enough to think they are going to steal sales from Reach. They're mindset behind this is, "Hey, Reach is an FPS and so is Medal of Honor. We can't really compete with Bungie, simply because of the brand, but with these advertisements, maybe we get 20% of the Reach buyers to also buy a copy of MoH as well." Their new policy on used games is a rather extreme way of going about this, and I'm sure it angers many people. I personally haven't bought a used game in many months, possibly over a year, so this doesn't really affect me.
I just found it funny how they say plasma rifle and needlers were generic when: IDK, it was during when activision did the whole IW lawsuit thing.
The pics are in order of how loose the controls are for each of those games, assuming MoH is like BFC2.
They do have some big differences though. Killzone has the best gametypes and graphics MoH has vehicle combat and destructibility MW2 has the best controls
I believe on Facebook there was an ad saying "Tired of plasma grenades and needlers" or something of that sort and then saying try the new Medal of Honor. Obviously plasma grenades and needlers was referring directly to Halo.
EA's marketing campaign is getting annoying. They're all about trying to bash other games "jokingly" while not joking. Yet their own games have a lasting time of about two weeks. **** off EA.
There's a pun in the opening post, I just want to point that out. I overall enjoy EA's advertising, but going after Bungie is kinda a hard hit. Like I can understand making fun of Call of Duty, but not Halo. Its a 3 year old game.
no Im not really sick of those guns. Im sick of the same M16s and such that are in EA games... that is an idiotic advertisement because Medal of Honor is basically Battlefield (EA game) mixed with Call of Duty. Its the same weapon choice that has been in EVERY modern shooter...
This is just stupid on EA's part, they really think that we are going to turn over because of this...lol on them.
Okay guiz, i was at a family party-type thing, and my mom works as an add consultant and whatnot. According to the ten or so companies that were nothing before she had anything to say, shes a damn good one. Apparently her take on this is that it was a small joke to amuse people who play halo about how old it is, and welcome those who dislike halo. Which makes it a brilliant strategy in theory, but it obviously failed if this is what happened lol.
I wanna see Bungie trademark the words "Plasma Grenades" and "Needlers"... Then sue the **** out of EA.
That would be so epic.... Halo is 94758384593987502375438246503745932857956348252375 times better than any game EA could make. They obviously tried advertising with halos name because that's the only way people will see there game. Halo has a variety of weapons and just about every other FPS always has the same. Shotgun, Sniper, assault rifle, RPG, SMG, etc. I'm sick of that!!! Go blow a cow EA!!!!!!!!!!
