so before that, plans were being made for one, no? just saying. I don't know, just going by what I read. but I recognize 99.9 % of it is rumormill
They admitted going against Canon here. This is relatively simple. Using your points we shouldn't have any new things in Halo Reach then, right? Wrong, much of the tech was lost when Reach fell. The Pillar of Autumn was assigned to capture a covenant ship, there wasn't a need to outfit it with all of the newest technologies. The Spirit of Fire: More than fifty years after being constructed, it was recommissioned and refitted for military service prior to the period of history known as the Human-Covenant War. The Spirit of Fire had the latest advancements from Reach and the Pillar of Autumn didn't It is possible that there were multiple sets of the armor all ancient, but I guess we don't need to argue that, as ensemble admitted to going against canon.
I truly hope it will be awesome. I don't want it to end up like Street Fighter and Mario. I think it will be interesting to see who stars in it because you never see master chief's face.
yes, but the plan was never really started on. Peter Jackson pretty much said "what if I made a halo movie?" and then thought about it shortly and went "nevermind I dont have money". Then everyone started saying "OMG THERE IS A HALO MOVIE!" and never got the thought out of their head.
If they do make one then I'd prefer it if they waited a few years after all the Halo games have been out. When they were planning it before Halo 3 came out it seemed like they were trying to get Halo through as many mediums as possible (we already had books and comics) in an attempt for Microsoft to get lots of quick and easy money. The movie probably wouldn't have been great because it would have been rushed to be released while everyone was still exited about Halo 3. Say in 5 years time, almost 8 years after the completion of the Halo Trilogy they then released a trailer for a film simply entitled "Halo" and not "Halo: The Movie", that would be much better. And in that time Microsoft will have produced a load of rubbish which which will show Bungie's Halo Universe canon is best and the film would hopefully produced more around that
I hope they don't make a Halo movie. Halo is doing great as just a video game series. Making a movie would be milking it and will more than likely result in killing the series. I don't remember anyone saying hornets, sub-machine guns, or spartan lasers didn't exist prior to their first appearance. I could be wrong, but I don't think any sources have stated any such thing. Just because we didn't see them in Halo: CE or Halo 2 doesn't mean they didn't exist.
did you even go to the link i put up? its not from back with peter jackson... anyway, yeah I wasn't sure which forum to put this in. I was just thinking maybe some of you guys would like to speculate on what possibly could be in it, and maybe about it. etc. not to have people indirectly call me stupid.
I believe it was supposed to be based on the first book. But I wouldn't say for sure, "We're going to make a movie when the time is right. We own the IP. If we want to make a movie, the scale of all the other stuff that we do changes dramatically. We make tens and tens of millions of dollars on ancillary stuff, toys, apparel, music and publishing. If we do a movie all of that will grow exponentially. We have some numbers if we do a movie, but it changes everything. It also changes our target and age demographic." -Frank O'Connor, Announced in April I believe. But as of now there aren't any movie plans.
