    WARNING!
    Nuclear Heat Levels Rising of Anger due to misguided people thinking that this map is "slopy". You don't want a nuclear meltdown do you? Then don't say this map is slopy, cause its not!! It may be a little hard to tell from the pictures, but I guarantee that this is a very neat and clean map!

    Story: Sheltean is a setup between two bases that have a critical tension between each other. People on both sides started destroying each others stuff, stealing flags, captchering each other's territorys, and even started killing each other.

    Setup: Two bases,First base is a Military base built into the stairs connected to the hallway. This base has a walk way connected to a sniper tower,( or sniper walkway if you will). BR tower. Ground Floor, bridge under passage. Second base, an industrial like base. Elevated floor walks to BR tower. Walkway to outside. Bridge under passage. Industrial field. (This map is a lot better than it sounds). This map supports Team Slayer, Capture the Flag, (best with multi flag), King of The Hill, and Territorys. Best played 4 on 4, or 3 on 3. Always make gametypes to spawn with Battle Rifle and Magnum.

    UPDATE NOTICE: With this update, I'm redirecting the download link to version 2 (Sheltean v2)
    I have moved the starting points closer, and I have added a more industrial feeling to the map than before, and I have filled up the open spaces. Also some new pictures.

    From just looking at the pics, I see a lot of open floor space and the sniper looks vulnerable to nade spam. Your structures look well executed and planned out.(I'm guessing you used ghost merging?)

    But i'll dl and give more feedback :)

    So much open space you could have used.

    Your Ghost Merging is pretty good and your placement of weapons is not the best but alright, you still have a lot of work until this map is finished, you may think it's finished but you really need to make a second version, there is so much space you could have used. My sugestion is create more structures and cover but make sure they benefit the player during combat.

    What you need to change

    Your whole map is a mess with the merging from the pictures it was hard to see if they were smooth or bumpy. Its real bumpy and i recomending redoing the whole map on the merging, im not trying to insult your map it's a great idea but you really need to get it fixed. Also you don't have to Ghost Merg everything, just your basic merg can do the same job. There were only a few sorta smooth spots which you would still need to redo the whole map just so its all smooth. When your making a map you want it to be perfect so don't rush which i can clearly see you have on this map.

    I would recomend moving the main defender stuture back because it's basicly right next to the attacker's base and with this in place if one time is more dominate than the other team it's just spawn killing mayhem. Your weapons are alrightly placed but some may have to change positions if you create a second version. One of them is the sniper the attacking side has a better chance of getting then the defender's side. 4 vs 4 can not be played on this map it would just be to small, and i have noticed you have spread out your starter spawn points you should really have all players start in the one spot for each team, It give the player a even chance to get a to a point of intrest.


    Your main defender sturture is also easy to get on top just one quick jump and your up on the top. Also where you blocked out the other side with double boxes it is real messy and must be re done aswell. The back of the defender's base is really just random objects they have no real purpose, It might be an idea to get a budget glitched map when looking at the map you only had 60 bucks to play around with which is not much. if you do decide to get a budget glitch map you will have to re build the whole this again. which you already have to in the first place but this will just give you more objects to play around with. A budget glitch map just gives you more objects to play around with if you didn't know that. If you want a budget glitched map just ask me and i will get you one.


    So what i have said is just really cleaning up every single merg so they are smooth to walk on, move the defender's base back and move some weapons spawns and player spawns.


    Anyway Just ask me if you need and more feedback on this map because i could go on forever on this forum but if you need anymore just pm me

    We were actually doing pretty good up until that. I'll echo the statements of my fellow members, and recommend filling in the abundance of space in areas like this. That said, if you could fill out the map a bit more, you'd have something pretty nice here.

    Well this is my first map Ghost merging, so yeah, I agree, It is a bit messy. And about the money glitch. Well I really hate forging with those. Also the second base, remember I said it was an industrial site, thats why there are trucks and forklifts and other things. And yeah the wall on the second base well I got really tired. But I will try LATER. Because I'm a pooped right now. That map held a little stress building it. So yeah, I'll try a little later.

    Well it may be an idea to invert the industrial site with the base so the industrial is infrontof the base, but for it to work you would have to clean it up and test it a few times with different gametypes. The next map i am buiding is on foundry and you gave me an idea for it.

    Anyway making maps does take its toll on time, people on forgehub may spent 50 or more hours building and testing a map, so all you have to do is take your time and you should be all good.

    With your update, i would not really call it an update it's to small theres only a few things you change. All of the new objects you added in are scattered around the place giving no more real cover. When you scatter objects they often are more of a problem then anything else. For this map to work you would have to remake they whole thing, but most people with just add and subtract objects and clean it up a bit for a second version.


    Theres not much else i can say about the map you can recreate it or add and subtract and clean for your next version.


    But thats if you choose to do another version though

    Umm, I will start by saying that I like how you interlocked other things but not the Double and Single Walls. I played through this map and I have to say (and I don't want t be a hard ass) but I would go over this one more time and give it a "cleaning". Some parts of the map I couldn't get to easily creating it difficult to reach and killed the flow.

    There is alot of merging, and nice merging may I add. But you left too many spots int he map open like around the big tower building in the middle of the map. You need soemthing ptu there to get rid of the emptyness.

    Well thats what I did in the "small" update. Also I have a question for everyone, Is the download link redirecting you to the map," Sheltean, or Sheltean v2? Becuase even after I changed the download link to the second version, I still see downloads of the first version. So please tell me which one you are redirected to.

    HI I AM A RED FLAG! NICE TO MEET YOU! OOOH NO ARS? (Sarcastically) MY FAVORITE! TOTALLY NOT NOOBISH IN ANY WAY AT ALL WHATSOEVER! HEHEHE... *CAN'T HOLD IN NUCLEAR MELT DOWN* AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH NO ARS AAAAH! NO AUTO MATICS. WHERE WHERE WHERE IS IT AHHHHH! NO AUTOS AND ONLY BR SNIPER MAKE ZOW JR GO CRAZY!     GEtting off that subject of completely unnecesary talk *cough nubbish weap spawns *cough cough* There is a lot of open space in this map (though the structres fit pretty nicely with it. The map looks too easy for a guy holding a sniper, BR and a supply of grenades to dominate. (BTW is there a sniper on this map) There needz moar cover on teh map. I cannot stress that enough. Especially if you make the spawns headshot weapons only *cough* no Ars*cough cough* is for*cough* n00bs*cough hack cough* Anyway this map really looks like a nice piece of work, most of the geomerging is clean save for one of the structures with the double boxes and the fence box. It Just need more cover. I will dl but i am not going with the terrible (in my eyes) weapon spawn such as this:
    I will use Brs i haz no problem. But i am making it this weapon spawn instead:
    I am sorry if you took my above post as flaming or trolling in any way:
    I certainly didnt mean it this way I am very passionate about the Assault Rifle and automatic weapons and hate to see them come under disuse abuse. (ie not usign them)

    So the map overall gets a 3.5/5. It's good but it needz cover and ARS!

    Maybe the next map I post, when ever I post another map that is, I might put assault rifles in it. And also, there is cover, I had placed down objects in the open space, and the base next to the built in stairs has the hallway.
