Destini *Click name for Download Destini* is a remake of an older foundry map that was enjoyed by a lot of my friends. After my Xbox red-ringed in January I quit until i got a new box in march. Sense then we've been working on the sequel to the adrenaline pumping Destini v2.5. Destini* is an asymmetrical map with architecture designed to control field of vision based on player perspective in the map. We wanted to only allow 4 or 5 paths that connect the different rooms of the map. This choice emphasized gameplay that allowed the player to predict enemy actions based on the path that player follows. Close quarter areas are surrounded by long narrow hallways which allows quick accessibility to counter and become re-countered by an enemy[watch your steps]. Many players have commented on how this adds a perspective to the game. The limited pathways and hallways which interconnect the various rooms in Destini* allows you to force your enemy into combat. Many players enjoy this aspect of map control that Destini provides. Long-range BR fights are complimented by the multitude of grenade throwing techniques. The wall-slit located on the middle bridge is used mostly to watch those who cross the bridge from sniper-area(purple). You can also throw a grenade through the slit to place it on the adjacent catwalk from sniper. Destini* is made for all gametypes you want to get into. But the most fun gametypes would be: 2-6 FFA [Br start, 110% movement speed, 90% recharge rate] 2v2 1Flag CTF [Br start, 110% movement speed, 90% recharge rate] 2v2 TS [Br start, 110% movement speed, 90% recharge rate] 2v2 KoTH [Br start, 110% movement speed, 90% recharge rate] 2v2 Land Grab [Br start, 110% movement speed, 90% recharge rate] *You can try 4v4s but isn't advised Destini* Inventory: 4 x Plasma Grenade 4 x Frag Grenade 1 x Sniper [1 clip] 3 x Br 2 x Carbine Click Here to DOWNLOAD Destini OLD DESTINI v2.5 [Foundry] As mentioned before this map is a remake. the mearging on this map looks amazing and all the doorways look good. is there a chance of an overview of the map to be added I cant see the zize of it
looks great from the pictures but in the title it says "foundry remake"...how is this a remake of foundry?
The archways and advanced map geometry really make this map shine. Its obvious that a great deal of time and attention went into not only re-making the original map, but adding to it. Really stellar job. -=Moxus=-
Thanks.. sure here u go Heres an overview. Alot of the upper parts of the map are blocked off so visuals from top don't compliment its architecture D: ... It uses about 50-70% of the crypt. notice the asymmetrical lighting lol This is the furthest distance in the map. Bottom from one side through the main hall to bottom of the opposite side. Good distance for sniping Click Here to DOWNLOAD Destini Its not a remake OF foundry... Its a remake of a map that was made ON foundry The older Destini v2.5 is also available for download in my fileshare here.
I'm having a really hard time deciphering what this map looks like. I currently don't have an xbox, so I can't check it out. A fly through video would be awesome. I also changed your title, as the name made it sound as if this was a remake of default foundry.
YouTube - FORGEHUB VIDEO REVIEW - Destini Enjoyment: Balance: Durability: Aesthetics: Originality: Overall:
Thanks for doing a video review on my map really apreciate it. Only comment i had through the video was when you mentioned that you "hadn't been killed by the sniper very much" If you feel like firing up Destini again you should definitely try something specific when you acquire that sniper: The sniper spawns on one side of the mid-hallway. Try grabbing the sniper and going down the ramp towards the mid hallway. From that perspective that the platform has (the elevated platform) the field-of-vision opens up and covers almost all entrances to the oppisite of the map. The top bridgeway across the middle of the map has the small slit in it so from sniper perspective you can see people who pass by the bridge. This was one of the most enjoyable concepts of my map when it comes to gameplay. Almost everything else in the review i agreed on. Ps. You can get out of the map. So, durability: 8-9/10
The map did come out really nice. The gameplay when I played on it feels similar to SwordBase on from Halo Reach, room to room combat. Always having to check your corners and be on the lookout. That characterisic of the map made gameplay more exciting for me and to all the other players I played with. I will also completely agree with the review written by Bloo Jay. He seemed to nail everything I was thinking when I saw the map.
By remake of foundry, he ment it was a remake of a map that was forged on foundry that he and his friends played
