Time Capsule Basic Info: Supports: Conquest, Bombquest Suggested Size: 4-8 Players, games of 2v2 to 4v4 Description: Fight through history: A New Conquest Experience. Background: The idea for Time Capsule came from the experience of an endless morning history class. I was thinking about everything except for the class material, and eventually I thought about Halo 3, and Conquest. I wanted to make a map that embodied conquest. It is basically a game of war- 2 sides fight for land and the side that wins is the side that advanced the most. I thought it would be cool to make a conquest map that basically was not just a fight through a map, but a fight through the history of war and civilization. As you progress from your starting cave, you fight from ancient times to the future. Explaining Aesthetics: -The map is broken up into sections. The map is two-way radially symmetrical (as opposed to symmetrical across a line.) There is a blue, and a red side. -Each side begins in the back of a cave in a skylight. This is the beginning of humanity, depending on if you believe in Evolution. Next, there is an altar in each cave with light. You will find weapons on the altar. -When you exit the cave, you will approach a field (agriculture) with wood and stone walls. This is to represent the shift to agricultural society. There are weapons on the first stone ledge out of the cave. The first territory is the stone around the grass and the grass. Nations used to fight over territory, but now land is not directly related to economy. -In between the 1st and 2nd territories (or the 4th and 5th) there is a little pulpit-like stand. There are gold arches around it, and it looks out on an illuminated territories sign. This is supposed to represent Christianity and the Reformation in history. -Next, the 2nd/4th territory is made of gold flooring. To one side is a railing made out of railing and a giant anchor. To the other side is a wall with colored columns. The idea is that this represents mercantile civilization, being a naval port, and made with gold. This is the start of capitalism as well. -If you continue, the walls slope, and you enter what some call a "bird cage" and others call a "gold rib cage." Either way, the middle territory is fenced in, and water sits in the middle. The idea is that this is the future. The ceiling is supposed to look high-tech, and the sides are supposed to be a sort of nuclear protection defense. The idea is that each side, in the future, fights over the rights to water. Thanks! I am actually still in high school, and I was taking US History. Every block period I sketch map ideas. No harm though, I think I did well on the AP.
Wow!! Looks like a Forerunner structure or something!! I also like the floating territories icon. Very well don sir!
Yo inglo i was checking this map out last night and i must say WOW some of your best work yet. Well have to get some games on this next time im on ( havent been on much lately )
I noticed that two, that looks very well on the map. The OP did a very good job on Asthetics to this map which is what I admire alot in a map. And as far as I can tell, this map defintily nailed that.
wow, this is a great conquest map, i almost completely skipped over it. also consider my mind relitively blown. i love the aesthetics, i've never seen anything like your middle territory, and the spawn rooms look great. the route you've chosen is a simple zigzag but hey, theres no need to reinvent the wheel, especially with conquest.
Wow, just... just completely Wow!! This is one hell of an amazing forge map! The map looks so clean and i like that you put the territories symbol out there haha.. You've got one hell of an amazing skill dude! 11/10 DOWNLOADEDDDD!!!
Thank you. I really worked on the looks for this one. I figured a simple zig-zag would ensure an easily understood layout and decent gameplay at the least. I would like to make sure I do not take credit for the territory symbol made out of flat blocks. The original idea to make the symbol is NOT mine. I did however put it at an angle, and frame it in arches, as well as light it. But, not my original idea...
oh yes i remember this map, i really loved the forge u did, its all smooth and looks really cool, and the best part is the gameplay, its really addicting to play and this is my favorite territory map that ive played. great job!!
