    Battle Bots on Robo Arena
    Gunnergrunt


    Between 4 and 6 players required.

    In Battle Bots, the goal is to destroy the other teams engine (VIP) by battling them, prowler to prowler. You will spawn in a room with a prowler and some power weapons. The VIP will get in the driver seat, and the other two team mates will arm themselves before entering the passenger seats. A ramp will spawn after 20 seconds, letting you into the arena. You will then fight the other team, trying to destroy their VIP.

    Keys to Success:
    - Remember, you only do damage while in the passenger seat of the prowler.
    -The VIP should remember to turn the vehicle when one passenger needs to reload. This keep your firepower going at all times.
    -Driving backwards will keep your VIP shielded while your weapons do the work.
    - Team work and communication is helpful.

    The forging is terrible, I know. The game wasn't ready for posting so it is still in rough draft stage and you may still find bugs. Feel free to make your own maps using my starting boxes.

    This looks great. Very original idea, and well thought out. I will be sure to give a final review after testing the map.

    How do you come up with these ideas?
    Although the forging is pretty bad, I read the part about being a rough draft, so here are my two cents:
    Maybe put some more obsticles (not for cover, but for stuff you need to avoid) and every once in a while, have fusion coils spawn or something, like the traps from the old show.

    I havent tried it yet, but I'll try and get a game going later today, for now; Swimming!

    Nice and creative idea. Haven't tried the game but maps look good. The forging isn't that bad.
    Arena 02- Smooth ramps, VERY good placement of mancannon, a bit empty in mid.
    Arena 03- Shield-door wedges are a little out so when you go off ramp you might hit them, nice in mid but again a bit empty.

    haha! hey I remember playing on this map a long, long time ago (with you and your friends that is). It was just amazing and played so well, the only thing I remember was that throwing the trip mines was a problem because half the time they never flew out of the box. But what am I to criticize? You've probably fixed and perfected it. I will without a doubt download this once i clear out my maps on my hard drive. =(

    This seems like a very excting game.

    Quick question, how many rounds is this and do you only have 1 life per round?

    I think three rounds (Haven't played it in like a year). You will spawn in that floating box once you die, if you were a side-gun. From there, you can rain down nades and mines.

    i think the merging is fine for its purpose, i mean really, do you know how big a bump has to be to feel it in a prowler? lol

    i think that this is a really great idea for a minigame, i would suggest that you add another two prowler rooms and make it a multi-team style thing, so that it could be played with more people in case you have a bigger party?

    I liked the idea of this map, I really did. And when playing it right, it was fun. The downside of this map is it's too easy to break. A.) People don't even need to leave the spawns, they could easily just grab a laser and perch themselves until your dead. B.) Players could get off and easily shoot at the enemy Prowler, this made it very frustrating because they weren't easily splatterable.

    A.) I would figure you could fix this problem with a Deathball spawning, 10 seconds after the ramp possibly. Locking anybody inside in their place.

    B.) This is tricky, but I might have somewhat of a solution. Possibly, enemies are very weak, low health, and can hijack vehicles, if their VIP isn't within a radius. I would find this a solution, the only problem is the "over the limit" players would be sitting ducks unable to help, but I would find it a worthy sacrifice.

    Other then that, I really liked this game, it played simple, and smooth.

    Thanks for the feedback! I had a solution to both of those problems, all of which could be fixed by the map itself. I built the map up against the top barrier of the skybubble to prevent flipping or players from jumping if they left the prowler. I also put killballs and death tele's in the spawn boxes to fix the other issues. Unfortunately, I was unable to finish the map before I had to post all of this.
