If anybody on my friends list remembers the OLD OLD version. Urban you better remember because you got that idea for Duncan Hills. Anyways, this map turned out pretty well. I think I did a good job of adding a fun level in this. From the choppers to the banshee its pretty balanced and fun. Anyways nobody here really knows me but I used to be a MB member. So hope you enjoy. Attackers Base Spoiler Laser Spawn Defenders: Spoiler Base Front Inside the outside? The wall Sorry for the lack of pictures. There isn't much too show. Battleman...the maps that you have made can barely be considered maps, more like random objects thrown together in random places, so I don't really consider your opinion to be valid; this map is extremely well made and it is something that is beyond what your skills show you are capable of. Everything is straight and neat so I think that you must have been high when you made that post. Anyways, Im glad that somebody actually made something out of Standoff forge-wise instead of stupid robots or another dumb Jenga map. It seems as if the only thing that I could see a problem with would perhaps people being dicks and breaking open the box opens with the banshee and then people throwing the flag down there but other than that it looks good. Oh, and I am sorry that Monitor Built closed down, it sucks when stuff like that happens. I would suggest going to, they have a very nice community that knows what they are talking about..unlike some people that may or may not have posted in this thread. ^_~
Holy cow. Easily the best standoff map ever. For once no dumb ol jenga map or other stuff people usually make this could actually be played with a real gametype. the forging is beautiful, and the gameplay would have no flukes except for the one fuzzywing pointed out. Great job keep it up dude 5/5
That post is the epitimy of everythingwe don't want on Forgehub. Let's review the exact reasons why no one should ever make a post like this. Reason 1) It's mean. Being mean will get you nowhere. Reason 2) It's sarcastic. Being a sarcastic smart-ass will get you nowhere. Reason 3) It's based on a five-second look at some pictures. The user obviously never tested the map, or even did a quick Forge-through. He damned the map to failure, yet never gave one reason why it is in any way bad. It is best to completely ignore people like this. Use the general rule of "If they're too lazy to test out my map before commenting, I'm too lazy to give a damn about their opinion." This rule will help you out a lot when it comes to sarcastic, jerk-off -Blam!-s like this one. Learn from Battleman's mistakes. Keep it clean. ... I think it's pretty neat how any map that isn't made on Sandbox or Foundry is instantly rejected by the Forgehub community as a whole. Regardless of how well a map plays, it will obviously fail if it isn't made with amazing aesthetics on Foundry. -_- This map is amazing, Allbroken. Its gameplay and overall quality is right on par with maps like Bird of Prey and Snowborn. The gameplay never felt hindered by the canvas map you used. You've taken Standoff and have basically made a whole new map; one that is nothing like the original. Congrats on making something extraordinary Allbroken. Cheers, HarisSales. I'm glad your trying to help Allbroken, but what your doing is basically the same exact thing that Battleman did. Don't argue with idiots, Fuzzywig, they will bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.
I have been waiting for more custom Standoff maps using ghost merging for a while, so thankyou. I downloaded and had a quick run through; it seems you have created some cool and interesting additions to the bases, though they probably could have been executed a bit cleaner. When running through the defenders base I also couldn't help but feel like you should have included the rear pad somehow.
Wow, haven't seen a Sandoff Map in quite some time. Looks pretty good considereing the amount of materials you are given.
