I've been working on this map for a few days now. I'm wanting to make an indoor room-based, cave styled team slayer map in which gameplay can stay clean and competitive. Here's where I'm up to so far. That's all of the map so far. I've closed off the map to allow me to get an aesthetic feel for the project so far, however I have quite a lot of objects left to use, and a budget of around $940. My creativity has kind of hit a wall however, as I don't really know what direction to expand out into, or how to go about doing it, because the map is no where near big enough for a competitive sized map as it is at the moment. If anyone has any ideas or advice on what they think I should start doing to the map so far, please let me know. And also, I would appreciate any feedback on its progress to this stage. I also don't have a name for the map yet, so any suggestions would be great.
I can't really tell where you would 'expand' into due to the maps small size. But if I were to think of anything it would be to add new hallway that even opens up into another dome-like structure and a hallway connecting it back. It's kind of hard to judge the maps actual size by the pictures. But i'm willing to join your game and give you my 2cents there.
I think from what I have seen I would kind of keep the cave appearance but use the Sentinel Factory grav lift set-up to kind of allow travel through 4 different openings. This would mean you would have a lower cave level then you would then have a post-industrial forerunner upper level. Make sure if you use this idea though to place the weapon holders to hold the grav-lifts in place. lol
Holy **** that looks sexy. Maybe cut down one of the larger rooms and make it into a couple of smaller rooms to create that claustrophobia-inducing cave nightmare. Send RedTw0Zero an invite if you need a tester. P.S. Name it something in Spanish because Spanish is sexy like this map
I know I might be a bit late on replying but i was thinking you could add a tunnel that slightly curves around the cave and leads to the top of it so you could drop in through the roof. I've had this idea in my head for a while but I'm not THAT experienced a forger to pull that off, and it looks like you are so give this a thought (if I'm not to late) and if you do, do something like this could you mention me please n' thanx. Great map BTW!
Adding a pit of death? In pic#3, IMO you should add a rock so players can jump into one of the windows I guess you can call it that.. so gameplay could speed up abit and suprise campers.. And I have a name for your map.. "Lithos"
