Map Title: Maze Download Map Description: Maze is a map made for team games, like ctf team slayer or assault. Any gametype from these three categories will work with this map. In this symmetrical map, the two teams spawn on opposite ends. From their spawning area, they proceed into the maze. Throughout the maze there are useful weapons at every turn. Once you are through the maze, you will come across a middle section with three choices, the bridge, or the two tunnels. The bridge contains the active camo, while the two tunnels eac have a brute shot and a power weapon. Also, for easy access across the map, there is a mancannon on each side to launch you across the bridge. For ctf and assault, the bomb/flag placing area rests in the middle of the maze, while the spawn point for the flag/bomb is at the exit of the maze. Getting the flag is easy enough, but bringing it back to the tight corridors surrounding the return area should be a challenge. Picture time! After playing a game of Multi-Flag I noticed many things that need to be fixed and changed. Weapon Placement: The weapons for the most part were clustered together inside the tunnels, except for the sword. The sniper had way too much power on this map, seeing as the person using it has LOS going just about the entire map. The sword was a pain to get to and by the time you actually get it, chances are you're getting shot at by a sniper. I personally don't like the active camo, because when you have shotgun and sword it can be very deadly. Aesthetics: There was little to no 'eye candy' on this map. There was nothing that while I was playing, stopped and thought, "Wow, thats cool or unique". Nothing really stood out at all. Map Layout: There are a lot of problems that need to be addressed here. The floor is quite bumpy just about all over (the middle wasn't bad) and the entrances into the tunnels were always bumpy. Speaking of tunnels, i've never really been a fan, because of how confusing they are to figure out. You'd really have to play countless games to get the set-up. Next, the man-cannons. Man-cannons, when used correctly, can add a huge amount of strategy, especially in CTF. This is what upset me the most. When I tried to use the man-cannon, most of the time it threw me into a wall and off the edge and overall didn't shoot the player that far. On a positive side, the map was quite large making teamwork a necessity. The tunnel fights do start getting annoying. Because in tunnel fights... nobody wins. I would recommend looking at the Forging 101 and Forging 201 to help your map reach it's fullest potential. Right now it's hard to have an enjoyable experience on this map 1/4 (I will change rating if noticable changes are made).
Thanks for the feedback, I will work on the map some more. I might remove the tunnels at the start, and interlock the floor a bit to try and reduce the bumpiness. Also, I am going to change the weapon layout a ton, and as for asthetics, I dont have anything in mind right about now. I will try and fix the mancannons, too
