Finally, confirmation! In the recent E3 2010 'SENTUAMESSAGE' episode, Bungie announced it. Sure, all they said was "Yes, but we're not saying anything else right now.", but it's confirmation!
Sense Halo 3 was the Biggest hit cause of Forge and all Bungie thought about Putting Forge and Firefight in Reach and there Viola theres your Awnser
Everything that was in Halo 3 will be refined in Reach. Forge, Theater, and Firefight will all be different somehow, someway.
Well, I know we knew it in that way, but it wasn't confirmed until this E3. Confirmed, not hinted at.
Sigh, what number thread are we up to now that confirms Halo Reach will have Forge?... I'm pretty sure we're up to about ten now... Not to sound like a jerk or anything but it might help if you ran a search, cause we've known Reach will have Forge for months now.
Omg I'm gonna start giving infractions to the next person who "Confirms" forge without any additional information. This is getting ridiculous.
He suffers from the curse of Noirtatsu!!! Anyway lol, stop confirming forge without proof cus it's so damn annoying .
So to wrap up all of these threads right now: Forge will be in Reach, but there isn't enough to analyze right now so there is no point in all of these threads. Forge was confirmed long ago when Bungie announced that all Halo 3 modes were incorporated in Halo: Reach. Saying that this map editor is powerful enough that Bungie used it to make some of their own maps could simply refer to the use of placing objects around and be no different from Halo 3 forging.
I said could what I am trying to say is that the quote that states that Bungie used the editor for their map is very vague and could mean anything from full map design to the same Forge that we have now.
Right you are. We already know that they've changed matchmaking and theater, and forge and customs are bound to change too.
Yes, but why would they exclaim "full map editor which is so powerful the designers used it to make some of the actual maps" Surely the words "so powerful" mean more than just placing crates and pallets on a default map. I wouldn't exactly call Halo 3 forge powerful, you just place big blocks together like Lego. The only reason we have been able to make use of it is through glitches like ghost merging.
Am I the only who noticed that this goes in the Reach Discussion? Meh, the thread's gonna die anyways : P
Am I the only one who laughed because he said lego? LOL Also, It'd be nice to have an all new powerful map creator thingy mode. I wanna make scenic stuff and not have a damn "Could not place object. Too many on map" message pop up when i've got a map 95% finished ¬_¬
