From the pictures you can tell that the most testing this got was 1v1 (if that) with bad players. there is pretty much 1 route to take from any given spawn point, and that makes for bland gameplay. Your friend should look into what a OLN canvas is, and then build a map using an OLN canvas and include movement more options. He's clearly not bad at forging, he just hasn't made a map with enough complexity to stand up to much scrutiny.
From what I can see in that picture, the forging here is pretty sloppy; if you look at the tower of tube pieces going from the lower level to the higher level, they're quite noticeably and quite badly skewed. Looking at the supporting columns, there are at least two which are angled, lacking the attention to be settled down to the ground. Looking at the upper level, virtually every wall piece and huge wall I can see is angled or poorly placed. These things might seem like small details, but precision can make or break a map in game-play and aesthetics. Your friend needs to work on precision. -=Moxus=-
