    Made by Ganchin & Echoelen

    Well this is the first map i have put on forgehub after getting my arm twisted a good few times to upload it by friends. Monument is made for Team Slayer and Capture the Flag with that in mind monument is a open map with many angles of which you can kill your enemys from sniping to running them over. Monument in my eyes is still not perfect map and needs tested by other players. It will be nice to see what everyone thinks of the map and what improvements it could do with. So no further waiting Monument!

    Team Slayer, Slayer, All flag Modes, All Bomb Modes (Can add more game modes if wanted)

    Monument contains little to no Interlocking of objects just good old simple forging.

    It's regular sandbox on steriods? The map looks awesome, and looks fair to play on.It reminds me alot of the regular sandbox design, thats not a bad thing.Anyway Good job on the map and Welcome to Forgehub. :)

    ok dude here is the truth.... this maps layout and design are beutiful. the aesthetics are great also. But.... it needs to be merged. for a first map this is amazing and i would love to help test it. (im available every thursday and every other weekend. GT AARC Caboose) but because it is unmerged it wont get the atention it deserves. you got some serious skill with planning but the follow through is more important. i sincerly look forward to a version 2 if you make it. still great map. 9/10 design. 7/10 aesthetics (cuz you didnt merge.) X/10 game play (havent tried it.) over all 8/10 will be 9.7/10 if merged and has good gameplay

    I don't know why I let it but these types of comments annoy me. If your going to post something saying that you need to explain why he needs to merge more or something along those lines. An explanation for what you just said could be something like this: "you need more interlocking on the ramps and buildings so that you don't lose grenades and so it looks cleaner".

    On the map, i cant say much about it now as im trying to forge myself, but it looks like its halfway between sandbox and valhalla. That means its sexy and just got one more download ;)

    Ok dude here's the truth...this post should be disregarded for the following reason: you're entire basis of criticism is his lack of merging. Merging doesn't necessarily make a good map. I could merge and/or geomerge every possible object in a map and have it still be complete and utter crap. Merging only helps where merging is needed, which you don't even know if that's the case because you haven't even played the map yet. Maybe if you played it and said something along the lines of "after playing this map we found it necessary to merge the blocks into the ground because grenades were getting stuck" or something to that extent than yes, I wouldn't be irked by this comment. But you didn't, so your post gets a -6/10 because:
    -The nice long rant I posted.
    -You posted a dumb x/10 rating, which is annoying, because...
    -...you posted said rating without even playing the map. Good call.
    Someone already said this, but again, why and where does he need to merge? This is the info map makers need. This is what will make better maps; the instance of the community downloading said maps, playing them, and then coming back on here to give constructive criticism.[/longwhinyrantprovidedbyme]

    On the map: Agreed it looks like borrowed elements of sandbox and valhalla. At a glance, you got a LOT of heavy weaponry on this map, which isn't always a good thing. I'll DL this and get back after some playtime.

    If merged? That is not a why to rate a map. There have been many great maps that have had no merging, think of the map Halo and Run. Did they have merging? Even look at Barc0de's maps he never merges and yet his maps are very successful. Why would it be 9.7 out of ten if merged. That might be vaild if it was an aesthetic map, but it is not! Oh and by they way, you misspelled a bunch of thing in your post. So anyway, it is the map that counts NOT the merging!!!

    Interlocking is fine if the map was designed for it, Monument wasn't. There is a few places that could do with a little merging to make it look a bit cleaner and that will be fixed. Only other merging will be for game play improvements such as to stopping weapons or grenades from falling between gaps.

    Weapon layout is not finalized and does need improved which V you clearly spotted and would love to hear your feedback on it.

    As some of you have noticed a few elements was taken from Sandbox and implemented into the design of Monument. I am though mystified to how elements of Vahalla are present (Would like to know =]) as Monument is only based on Sandbox.

    I haven't been able to play test it yet because I've been busy with high school basketball camps (I'm working on it though, I promise lol) but the reason I think of Valhalla is the symmetrical bases on each side with a port of vehicles and a man cannon leading straight into the fray (kinda reminiscent of the bases in Valhalla, wouldn't ya say?).
