    Teaser Trailer

    Gameplay Footage

The Mines is back and better than ever thanks to x Dream 76 x and Derk921 who took the map away and fixed all the ugly bits (apart from the sharp turn after the hairpin which remains rather unloved). For those of you who didn't see the first version, The Mines is an enclosed racetrack forged in the Sky Bubble on Sandbox which supports a unique CQC Battle Tracks variant. It has a basic figure of eight shape and a lap time of around 25 seconds.

    Changes from V1
    - There are now 8 mongooses at the start
    - the grav lift has been removed
    - the single wide tunnel before the lava jump is smoother and you're less likely to hit the sides
    - the lava jump landing is much easier to land and the overhang part has been removed so you won't bang your head on it
    - the final jump at the end has been fixed, giving you a much smoother landing which is almost 100% reliable
    - the track is uncheatable

Thanks for mentioning me and Dream, this map is extremely fun and exciting, the scenery is outstanding and I love the last jump, not only because I helped on it but the landing is perfect, you should make another track like this but long and completely covered! 4/5.

The last time I posted a comment about your track it was a measly, two lined comment. This time I have downloaded and played on your track and I'm gonna give it a proper review.

First impressions always play a key part in the success of maps. You have managed to make a great first impression to me, you have made me want to download the map and give it a go. You setup the post nicely, the pictures are great, the videos are great, now lets hope the map is too.

Aesthetics. I LOVE THEM. No really, the aesthetics you have made are amazing. You pulled off the whole 'mine' theme really well. The new start looks amazing, the blocked off pathway from the open area is awesome and just overall the whole thing looks stunning. Most people think effects ruin a map. Not so. The gloomy effect is a great addition to this map. It sets the mood perfectly, engrossing people from the minute they get on that mongoose.

    10/10

I ran through the track around 10 times to really a get a feel for the track. To begin with, its very smooth. I did not encounter any bumps throughout the 10 laps I did. The removal of the grav lift is a great improvement. I wasn't put off/restricted any more when turning into that tight section. Overall I noticed a great deal of improvement. AND YES ITS DEFINITELY UNCHEATABLE. I tried for a while...

However there are some drawbacks. The first drawback I would like to mention is the first turn. As you come up that you have no clue whats about to happen. When you do reach the turn you end up ploughing nose first first into the shield barrier, which then happily bounces you backwards into the wall. The turn takes around 2 laps to get right.
The second drawback is the turn after the lava jump. I don't know if its just me, but I kept on sliding, no matter I did, into the right side wall. This caused me to spin right around and have to backup then turn to complete a lap. I think the reason for this is that the turn tilts into the 'wrong' direction. While the turn goes left, the whole thing tilts downwards to the the right. Possibly for future note, this would be one area to fix up.

This map is a very fun map to play. The closed in sections are really enjoyable, they keep you guessing as to whats coming up. The open section is a great addition as it gives a moment of relief before rushing back into the claustrophobic atmosphere. What always counts in the end is the fun of a track, and this definitely has a lot of it.

    10/10

    Overall I give you a

Good map with AWSOME aesthetics, only thing is that is hard to race with alot of people, but you can't help that because otherwise it wouldn't feel like a mine
