The newest DLC for Borderlands increases the level cap from 50 to 61, and adds in a whole bunch of content for you and your buddies to play on. The Secret Armory of General Knoxx only costs $10 just like the other previous DLCs. Taking up about 1.66 GB of your hard drive, this will be just about the largest DLC you have ever encountered.

The Secret Armory of General Knoxx is in my opinion, the best DLC that any game has ever had. I've only played for three hours with three other friends, and I'm a level 54, and they are all level 53's. This DLC doubles what you got in both Zombie Island and Mad Moxxi's Underdome. I'm in love with The Secret Armory, and if I were to rate it on a scale out of 10, I would rate it a 10.

Most people will try and convince you that this DLC isn't worth the $10 because there is no Fast Travel, but that is actually one of the best things about this DLC. With Fast Travel there would be no reason to use the new vehicles that 2K has given us. First you will recieve a vehicle that fires three missiles at a time, then second you will recieve a racer. The racer is extremely fast, but pretty difficult to control. The third vehicle I have encountered is my favorite. It holds up to four people, and has a turret, a gun that shoots trip mines, and some random thing that blows up anything near you.

The enemies are extremely difficult to kill, and I don't think I've run into anything I saw in the other DLCs. Everything is completely new besides a couple bandits. The robots are epic to fight, and when you run into Shank, well that's just leave it at that.

The Secret Armory of General Knoxx is like a brand new $60 game. In all honesty, I think 2K could have passed this off as a new game like Bungie did with ODST.

I highly suggest you purchase The Secret Armory of General Knoxx if you own a copy of Borderlands. They fixed everything that was wrong with the game besides the feature to be able to save wherever you want to. Everybody will find this difficult to get through... I love it so much, I think I'm gonna cut this short and go play it right now!

    This DLC is teh sex.

@draco: I believe you can access it as soon as you can use the Fast Travel Network, much like all the other Borderlands DLCs.

Being able to go to level 61 is groovy, as is the fact you can get improved level 61 versions of all your favourite guns and class mods, plus some new Eridian weapons (that are actually good!)

For me it really has breathed life back into the game. That and the removal of modded weapons with the latest patch; it makes joining custom games fun again!

Another really cool feature is a respawning end boss that is actually tough to beat and drops epic lewt! I don't see how anyone can beat it without a Siren though ...

Now for the negatives, of which two come to mind:

    1) There are cool new class mods, but the game won't save them - I've found a special "Specter Class Mod" and "Weapon Specialist Class Mod" for my Siren but as soon as I reload my game they disappear out of my Inventory. I suspect the code that removes modded items thinks that these new COMS are mods ... lol ... smoooooooooooth move Gearbox! I assume they will patch this, otherwise those fancy new items are worthless!

    2) Searching for custom games - Any character that is above level 50 will not appear in the custom games list. So you pretty much can't join anyone that is above level 50 unless they're someone on your Friend's List, which really really sucks! Again, I'm hoping this will be patched.

    Well, I dunno for sure.

I do know that the mobs are levelled to start off at "Endgame levels", i.e. in Playthrough 1 they start off at lvl36 (which is what you would be at the end of the game) and 50 in Playthrough 2.

So, I suppose that even if you can access the DLC earlier, you would probably get destroyed.

In the end then, either you can't access the DLC early, or you wouldn't want to. Therefore the rule is pretty much "Beat the game on your current playthrough and then play the DLC".

I've had problems like that in other games when I'm not connected to Xbox Live. Are you? If you are, maybe you should redownload the packs (it's free considering you already bought em) and see if that fixes the problem.

Yeh, same here, sometimes when you aren't connected to xbox live, most arcade/indie games claim to be trials. Also, games don't recognize DLC.

As insane said, re download the expansion packs. After that, when you put the game in, before it opens up the main menu, a notification should come up saying "You've installed _____ You can now acess it from any fast travel station"
If you did see these, maybe you're just misunderstanding the names of the places to teleport to.
Zombie Island of Dr. Ned - Jakobs Cove
Mad Moxxis Underdome Riot - The Underdome
The Secret Armory of General Knoxx - T-Bone Junction
Also check that the licence for said expansions is for your xbox if you're not using the account that purchased them.

If they keep releasing content like this, I could give a **** about a sequel, ever. I liked the expansions better than the actual game which is already amazing.

If it werent for that damn Halo game, Id go as far as saying that this is my favorite game ever.

I didn't care for the Zombie one. I love the other 2 tho.

PS.I've glitched my Super Marcus Sweep mission...if some one could help me out with that. I would appreciate it.
