Created with the help of Maxwell 360 Collateral is a unique symmetrical competitive map that works well for team games with 2-4 players per team. There is support for all modes, but Team Slayer and Neutral Bomb Assault are favored above other modes. The map is setup to allow for vehicles to be used, however there are plenty of places to go on foot as well. While on foot, you'll probably want to be inside or on top of the main central structure in the map. In the back of this central structure is a small tunnel, players can go back here to find the active camo spawn, or attack the fusion coil reactor. Once this reactor is destroyed, three fusion coils appear at a random spot on the map, these fusion coils move as they are destroyed. Eventually the reactor is restored, and no more fusion coils are produced. If the reactor is not destroyed for to long, it's power will build up, and the radiation from the explosion will cause many fusion coils to be produced, and collateral damage throughout the map. Opposite this structure is a triangular shaped platform that hosts the rocket spawn. Next to this platform is two pillars, which contain one of the unique features of the map. Players can jump on top of the pillar, or go inside to find a beam rifle or deployable cover. Upon entering, they instantly get a deployable grav lift. Once they want to leave, they deploy it and come flying out of the top of the curved wall behind the central structure. If a player does not leave a pillar after entering it, they engage in melee combat with opponents trying to get through it. At the top of the central structure is a sniper tower. To reach this tower, players must use a gravlift to jump on top of their base, then scale the back of the map up to a teleporter. Once they get there, they'll find it's a good place to be, but if hit by a single grenade, it explodes, killing the sniper. Another cool feature of the maps is the bases, the main section of which if tilted at a different angle than the ground and the rest of the map. In addition to working well for unique competitive games, Collateral can also be a minigame map, when combined with the Rebel Juggernaut variant. In this minigame, the weapons will be removed from the map and all players will spawn on the same "team." One player will be a rebel, and going against the team. As a result, they'll lose points overtime. The game works kinda like a "hot potato" version of juggernaut. The juggernaut needs to kill someone as fast as possible to stop losing points and pass the juggernaut on to them. Points are scored for finding and killing the rebel, or killing as the rebel, and are lost for being the rebel. Download Map Download Rebel Game Variant
This has mancannons, multiple floors, shield doors and open boxes rolled into one! Of course i'll dl!
Dude i love this map! It looks sweet, good description of every area i enjoyed it, keep up the good work! I like how well its interlocked and the creativity put into it.
well done. remember, you dont need to type TOO much, pictures tell a thousand words. Looks like a well balanced map.
It looks like you will hit your head on the barrier on that top part. but other then that this map makes foundry look pretty big, nice work, 5/5
Thanks guys. There were a lot of cool features of the map I had to explain though. You mean Foundry's ceiling barrier, in the sniper tower your actually half way above it, but it's not noticable since it just seems like there's a ceiling. It's good that you can't jump in the sniper tower, because that way grenades do kill you. Before I made it so that one grenade would kill a sniper, it was hard to stop them. Each time a fusion coil is destroyed, it respawns at a different spot on the map.
Thats pretty cool, how does it work? I like the big structure in the first picture, not so sure about the other side of the map. Only playing on that map will tell though. Looks good!
Looks sweet moving fusion coil sounds like a very origianl and interesting idea. i wanna see how it plays out. qued!
sorry, but i couldn't help but laugh that a junior member was telling a journalist how to post. anyway, map looks neat, nice layout.
Yay, there's a minimum that makes fusion coils spawn when I want them to. He said I posted to much, I might need to make it a little longer actually though, since there are some areas and interesting features of the map that I forgot to mention.
Thanks, this map had almost been completely lost in the depths of the competitive maps. There isn't really any big tower, but there is a big structure built over most of the map. If you not in a vehicle, you can go on top of it, if you are, you can drive through the bottom area. In slayer and team slayer matches, most kill are in the middle of this structure, or right in front of it.
Grave I think I saw someone with this map. They might have stole it from you. I do not remember where I saw it, but I am going to investigate. I will get back to you if I find it.
I like this map mostly for neutral bomb. It adds alot more variety to the playing style rather than playing slayer like on almost every other map. It really makes me feel like I'm playing something different. Nice work however you forgot to describe the last "Feature" on the merged/interlocked box. lol I still remember that.
