The Spartans need to defend the gravlifts like the capture points in Invasion. After the Elites destroy all the gravlifts (capture all the points) they can retrieve the flag (core).
The idea in a nut-shell. I'm currently working on the gametype that could be interchangeable between any map built for it, and as soon as my thread went up Youtuber started going to town on a map. Because of some technically difficulties on my part the two of us haven't really started working in tandem, but at least the idea is rolling. I'm thinking I'm going to make a map with him, then one myself, and see how popular it is. Maybe it'll be like Regen slayer, or (highly-doubting this) asset
I like the concept but I think you could make this way more interesting. For instance: the Elites start off with three bombs and the Spartans start off with three bomb points. The Spartans take their defense into the bomb points, spread out over the map in any way you see fit, while the Elites take the bombs and try to plant them in the points. Kind of like One-Side Multi-Bomb Assault. You could rig the plant times on the bombs to take like 5 seconds with a 30 second fuse while it takes 5 seconds to disarm the bomb.
Did you see my diagram though? It'll let the players drag the game on longer than three minutes. Also, I think the gametype that had the most people making maps for it was Master Debater's Judgement gametype and maps (the mongoose window Infection maps).
