Alrighty I will have a look. What would you suggest for spawn areas? For the sections with the trucks I have added hanging walls which block LOS from the top of the gyro into the spawning area. Im not sure what I am gonna do for the back section though. Maybe a spawn area? Ill work it out. Also that mongoose is placed intentionally. It adds to gameplay. -- UPDATE TO GYROSCOPE Although its probably not as epic as the large, bold-ed, underlined and italic-ed font: - Edited spawn system using Rifte's suggestions. - Added LOS breakers so that you cant see the spawning area behind the smaller arch from the top of that arch (did that make sense?!). Also edited and added to the spawn areas. - Added some fusion coils which will be interesting to see in action. - Increased needler clips to 2 spare. It just seemed useless due to all the cover people could duck behind to avoid getting hit. Rifte thanks for the criticism, it might be something i'll look into in the future but as for now i'll be keeping the gametypes the same. The one's that may be changed are the two standard Slayer gametypes as i'm not 100% on the scoring in those at the moment. As for the point scheme for carrying the ball, it's a lot more rewarding than you think. 2 points a second is rewarding enough when you have a 1 hit kill weapon, I actually racked up an overkill on gyroscope ball carrying in the open. All the gametypes require you to build up your shields FIRST, then attack the Objective. If you pick up the ball as a 1 shot, you're gonna get shot and killed in seconds.. You get a 4x overshield and pick up the ball.. Everyone HAS to stay away from you and shoot you from distance otherwise you'll get even more ball time from earning all their shields with the oddball. Same rule applies with Flag and King.. you earn the shields first, attack the objective second. A lot of people still think you should just rush the objective constantly because it scores more points, where as slaying is the primary objective in most of the gametypes, it's only Flag where the gametype requires you to capture. As mentioned above, thanks for your critical feedback but i'll be keeping things the way they are for now. EDIT: Rifte, as you've only played two games on two maps.. it may just be you're not overly keen on the maps themselves as the largest problem you mentioned was spawn killing. I recommend you try playing Regen Flag on Regen Complex as it's more close quarter confined lines of sight, with only the main Flag objective for scoring. I hope your edit to Gyroscope helps the spawns, I don't know how you said during testing spawn killing wasn't a problem, because I can think of multiple instances where I was spawn killed repeatedly, in the same spot.
I was so lazy that I couldn't be bothered to go on my xbox and take a custom photo, so I used a photo from Noxiw's map post of Multicog and just edited out the text and choppa.

Lol, thanks crypto Noxiw.. I'll try get on tonight and show you what I mean with locating the CPU's to make them a little more accessible. Has this been set up for all 4 types? (Slayer, Flag, Hill + Ball)

that is a huge post, and with such a range of maps to play it on i dont think this could leave anybody out, this is an amazing set of maps/gametypes and i'll look forward to playing them, do ALL gametypes, work on ALL of these maps?
No. In the descriptions of the maps it will usually say was Regen gametypes they are set up for. Thanks for having a look, tell your friends, tell everyone you know. -- Holy crap, just had a game of Regen King on Gyroscope V1.2 and it was HECTIC MATE!!! I added an OS to see how it would work and I found it actually did not unbalance gameplay at all. In fact it added to the gameplay because there was more shields to go around. Problem is I cant upload it to my fileshare because of Bungie's server problems. Ah, well. It should be fixed soon.
O'dear ive only just noticed about the regenaration slayer and well now i think my idea isnt my own because i have made gametype(s) with regenaration in them so hmm.
Hey Steve where is Multicog. Hasn't Noxiw finished setting it up or are you having the problem with bungie's servers as well?
Finally got to play a game of this last night (my damn friends are worried that mw2 will dump them if the ignore it--vg whipped....) and DAMN it was awesome. And crazy. Get Nox to hurry up with multicog, I know for a fact he can finish three oustanding maps in one night, it shouldn't take so long for one
I'm in the middle of moving, I really can't be bothered to be playing Halo too much. (I just started packing last night and still have most of my apartment to pack yet.) We move in this coming Friday (5 days) So I'll be able to get back on after that. I believe the prototype version of Multicog Regen is in my fileshare if the failing to transfer glitch works itself out.

Finally, a gametype like this comes along. =) I like the idea of how you have to earn your shields rather that just start off with them. Plus i like the idea of your shields depleting when your in the bonus zone. Combine THAT with Epic maps, and you have one great game type. This should be on Bungie Favorites 5/5. BTW: I have tried to download, but i am expierencing network difficulties.
Yeah thanks for the support man. ATM bungie is having server problems so we can't update any of the maps/gametypes until that gets fixed. We usually hold weekly Rustoms so that anyone can join and have a go at the gametypes. We are hoping to release the first map pack either this month or next.
This sounds very nice overall. Still, howed you get players to start with normal shields, but get overshields as they kill?
