I would say 80% of Forge is obvious if you just tinker with it and mess around. I made my first map with zero help from FH (I didn't even know about the site). I discovered a lot of techniques and tricks just by "using" the tools that Bungie gave me. A lot of impatient people won't do what I did and immediately come here and ask some of the most retarded questions. Sad, but true It is our job to guide those lost souls here and hopefully they will understand... in time. --dc

GAH! typo in Oddball! (dropped a must) Also, I totally disagree with the zombies thing. The whole point of old-school zombies (*cough* H2x/H2v) was one repeat ONE zombies start and try to infect all of the humans (up to 15). This was how the gametype got its name. Zombies was not kill-the-juggernaut style play. Infection is. This is a fail. While I'm on the subject (and mid-rant), wtf is with the infection* variants? Zombies** was no shields, humans had weapon (usually pistol or BR) and zombies had sword. Infection is rarely like this. That is also a fail. Infection should work like this: Zombies: Sword, no weapon pick-up, no shields, no FF, ALL OTHER ATTRIBUTES NORMAL Humans: BR and/or Pistol and/or AR, no FF, no shields, grenades (not regenerating), weapon pick-up, ALL OTHER ATTRIBUTES NORMAL human weapons on map, preferably forged so there are small rooms for the humans to camp in. *Infection - H3 **Zombies - H2x/H2v and yes, as demonstrated above, there is a difference
H2 zombies was the most fun thing evar. But got really annoying when people without mics would join and would start using weapons as zombies. I think zombies should be 1-3 hit kills.
Question I'm having this gametype problem. I just made this map today and I am trying to set it up for 1 Flag. It is on Foundry. I want to put the flag to capture in one of the side rooms. So anyway, I started a new forge game, went into monitor mode, deleted the old flag spawn and capture points, put the capture and spawn points where I want to, save, quit, go to custom games, start 1 Flag Ctf on it, and it tells me to capture one of the flags I deleted. What did I do wrong?
New GameType I'm looking for someone who is REALLY good in forge to help me create a new game type. Well, something like that.
you need at least 2 flags on map at all times so just interlock two together as clean as possible thats what I do
