[This is Monumental. Ya the names kind of boring and over used but I'm not the best with coming up with names. I made this map before christmas, it was originally a test map so I could get used to ghost merging but as I kept forging I grew fond of it. So this means I had no plan of the map, it was just made up as I went along... This map is symmetrical. It can be used for team slayer, team oddball, king of the hill and CTF. Also FFA king of the hill, oddball and slayer. I have never tested this map dew to my friends only liking to play mini games (like hog the hill). This means I would very much appreciate any feedback on how it plays and if it should be improved on. I have updated the map by improving the top level by decreasing the visibility, changing the spawns and weapon set up. I actually like this map a lot. Loving the gravity lifts, and the way you kept it all symmetrical. My only criticism is that it is slightly small and standing on the middle platform gives a view of pretty much the whole map. Anyway I still like so 4/5
OMG METALLICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Okay now that I'm done with that I've got a few things to say. First; I can tell that this map is organic, which means it could always be easily improved. I personally don't like perfect symmetry, so maybe if you had slight differences? It's not important so whatever you prefer. Second, the top center thing is a huge overpowering position. It is really strong and has great view, and it is very hard to assault. Maybe add little tiny rims to it so that grenades get caught, or add three pillars along the outside to limit the view of incoming assaults. Either will dramatically improve the map. I do love the Z axis fighting, but there is too many grab lifts. In my mind those equal either grenade spam or suicide. Not help. Adding some stairs as alternte options allow for a difference between speed and safety, which will further improve the flow of the map. Other than those two things, the weapon placement and spawns could use work, but in reality spawns are never good enough for me so whatever you think is best should suffice. I think this is a great map already, and with a small amount work could become amazing and possibly feature worthy. The aesthetics of the gold pillar and around the lifts=epic.
Ok I will add to the top level of the map, although I've ran out of objects I'm sure I can figure it out =D. As for the grav lift and stairs... There is both for each base so I shall not be changing them. I shall make the weapon spawns mucho bettr also. thanks for the feedback I shall be changing things as soon as I get back on the xbox
This looks great! I love how you changed the shape of the crypt from a square to a unique original twisted shape. How you took away empty corners in order to speed up gameplsy and made everything more fun. I would of loved it if you had added a weapon list... oh well. Im going to download this and play a couple of games on it. Then Ill list the pros and cons of this map.
I like the idea behind this. Halo needs more symmetrical 2v2 maps to play on and this seems like it'd also be perfect for a oddball/ king of the hill game. I have no suggestions other than to make more maps like this, great job
