Hi I am La7ham and this is my 3rd map post this map was done months ago and I never got round to posting it so now I am. This map started as an infection map but changed into a competitive map. It is based around this huge wall in the middle of the map and i'd made it to be able to climb it. I'd kind of got insipration off another map i was building at the same time of this it like a shanti town which I like.(that map will come out in the next few days). it is something different and it brings a different style of play to it. The MAX is 4v4 it supports Capture the flag and Bomb game types I would of done more but run out of budget or object limit. On the map there are the following weapons: Battle Rifle x6 Assault Rifle x4 SMG x4 Frag Grenade x4 Shotgun x2 Flamethrower x1 Plasma Grenade x4 Energy Sword x1 (Symmetrical game types only) Plasma Pistol x2 Needler x2 Beam Rifle x1 Spike Grenade x4 Brute Shot x2 Gravity Hammer x1 (Asymmetrical game types only) You might think there is a lot of power weapons to this map but i feel like it is balance. Also there is a camo and overshield on the map as well. A couple more pics would help a lot when showing your map. Apart from that I like what I see. Also did you test the map, because you didn't include any action shots and you have a heck of a lot of power weapons on, with a camo and overshield. Another thing that sticks out to me is the room at the top centre of the map. I have a sneaking suspicion that the beam rifle is in there, and if it is it will probably lead to spawn killing.
spawn killing i have tested it out and it is balanced for 4v4 and i know there is a lot of power weapons and the beam rifle is hard to find it is not in that room i made it so you would notice if someone got it.
Side view? Can't really tell whats going on in the map from only these views. The weapons list is very scary with the flamethrower. I like that you did make it so that some weapons appear in only symertrical and asymmetrical games. Spelling fail i think...
Try and connect your structure together, it will improve movement as well as looks. One other thing that I noticed Is that you tried to make it like a default foundry type theme (hopefully you know what I mean) Good luck and keep forging and the mergig you have looks fairly good
This is great, didn't realise you had put as much thought as it did with weapon placement, but it's well-balanced. As a play-tester I can say this plays really well, especially the dynamics between teams over control of the wall, I love how spawn-killing is kinda void as well because of the shield doors and well covered bases. We should play this more
hmmm more pics please??? any how this reminds me a lot of colonade, i do not care for that map but if you give us more pics it would help immensly. ill come back and give constructive criticism once more pix are posted
