Ok, so a week ago, I got it into my head "Ima make a map and put it on forge hub!" I had done this several times before, resulting in several failures *sniff*. Unfortunately, my flying skybubble replica of the starship enterprise will wither away. So, I looked back and decided where I went wrong. First, I decided to build around the gameplay, no longer the form. Second, I decided to do as little ghosting as possible. Thirdly, I decided to make it smaller. I ended up with a plan for a wizard sized map for up to 4 players, for those who don't have frequent access to live. I wasn't able to test it out of one v one though. It worked very well, in my opinion. Since I don't have live at the moment, I can't post it. However, I have two problems. 1) People never spawn at neutral spawns, only team spawns. 2) I've noticed this before, but guys aren't spawing in the crypt/skybubble even though there are no spawns in the central area at the start of the game.
Players won't spawn outside a respawn area if there is one as far as I know. To create neutral spawns, either overlap both teams' respawn areas over those spawns or use no team-assigned respawn areas at all. In Forge mode, shift through all of the gametypes you want to play and make sure their starting points aren't left on the main floor by mistake.
So, do you mean that for in slayer, the spawns in CTF need to be in the crypt for slayer spawns to work as well?
Ghost merging doesn't lessen a maps quality, it just creates a quicker way to forge. It can be more efficient once you learn the proper techniques.
