What does Forgehub think of Beta? To me, this is the only racing game that's fun. I used to play NFS: Underground on the PC, but that got boring fast. The game is fun, fast paced, and I'm definitely going to buy it once it's released.
Blur is definitely a thrill. I'm not a major racing person, but this games seems to have drawn me in. Although I may not buy it at launch, I'll be sure to buy it one day. AND, Dodging Shunts is ****ing adrenaline pumping.
It's a lot of fun, but it gets old after a while (500 races or so). Maybe with more tracks, it won't get old as fast, but each race isn't THAT different once you get good enough at the game to know where to go and what to pick up.
Trying to limit my playtime right now so I don't get burned out on it before it's even released. I'll probably only end up renting it, just because there are so many other games I'm interested in buying.
I played it for the first time after about 2 weeks, and its still a lot of fun (I started playing when the beta was first released BTW). I always loved the PGR series, and when I saw the Blur trailer last E3 (I think it was after ODST), I was kind of disappointed. The beta, however, has definitely raised my hopes. Did you guys know it was originally scheduled for release last year in November? I'm glad that didn't happen. Well, before the beta went public (not sure if that is the correct term for not needing a code to play), I was ranked ~600 in the world. Now I'm about 6,500
I got to 10th in the world before the beta went public, but I haven't been able to get past 30th now that it is. I'm sure I'm out of the top 100 now, since I haven't played in about a week.
I think this game has gotten pretty boring. It's a nice break from MW2, though. I'm level 13 now too. The A Class racing playlist is fun as hell.
I love that game. I think im pro at it already, I know most of the tricks and evasion strategies. Im more a defensive driver, lol. I didn't like the class A racing too much. If the player count was lowered to 10 like skirmish, I think it'll be a whole lot better. The Destruction Derby should be the only one with 20 or so players.
I hate the destruction playlist. It's really not that fun. I think this game is going to be dead 'cause of Reach though.
I love this game because it makes me feel like I'm not too old to play Mario Kart. Also, the music's great.
I've played quite a bit, and I really enjoy it. It brings back memories of the Mario Kart days. I probably won't purchase the final game, but the beta was still pretty fun. OT: I miss the Mario Kart days so much. Mario Kart 64 and Mario Kart Double Dash were both extremely fun.
For those that still don't have blur like myself and want it, this is your chance to get it now for a low low price at Best Buy. Blur is currently $39.99 at Best Buy, see link: Link If you use your reward zone card with this coupon you can save an additional $10, to make your price at $29.99: Link and finally if you go to this official blur website, they are giving you a $20 coupon off the price of your Blur game: Link So if you use both of these coupons with your reward zone card at Best Buy, blur should only cost you $9.99. I'm going to get it either tomorrow, or Monday and I'll post back and see if I can get it for $9.99. Well, it's no longer $39.99 at Best Buy, so now this is almost pointless.
Well, if you saw my edit in my post, Best Buy no longer has Blur on sale, so even if you use both coupons, it would now be $30.00 instead of $9.99, but still it's half off the price.
So I finally bought this game and I bought it for $60 lol If anyone has Blur and wants someone to play with send me a friend request, if it's full, send me a message about blur, and I will remove someone for you. :]
