Black Death

    Black Death

    Hi Forgehub and welcome to my first post!

    I don't speak English as my first language, so excuse my poor English.

    So, i bring you my first infection map: Black Death. I made this map so people enjoy being the zombie. The action happens very fast and the human die quickly if they don't work as a team... I made it so the weapons never respawn and are low on ammunition.
    I use the L4D idea for the zombie classes... I know this isn't very original, but it's work pretty well.

    In the beginnig of the game, the zombies spawn in the sky bubble and they fall to their death... The only reason of doing that was to give more time for the human to be prepare... After this, the zombie "re"spawn, and choose from one of the three classes, invisibility, shield or speed. (The power up are not place at start they appear later in the game for balance issue.) Then, the zombies fall in the hole and find way to enter the map, looking for holes in the ceiling or exterior area.

    ^This is a small part of my map, as you can see, it's really dark.

    The human die in three hit, or in one backstab, but their shield never regenerate, be carefull ! They don't have any sensor or waypoint to help them, so work and stay in team !

    ^There is some weapons place everywhere on the map, when you run out of ammo, you'll have to move to find them ! And as you may see there is a lot of corner where the zombies can get you, so always watch your back.

    ^I place some equipment to help you, but use it wisely. Here you can see someone using the deployable cover to protect his back.

    ^There is only five grenades on the map, but when they are well used they can be deadly for the zombies !

    ^There is a funny picture of me (the human) and my friend as the infected, believe this or not, but we haven't saw each other... !

    I know that people like to know the players traits, so i'll put it there :

    Damage resistance : 200%
    Shield multiplier: Normal
    Shield recharge rate: 0%
    Damage modifer : 125%
    Primary weapon: Assault rifle
    Secoundary weapon: Magnum
    Grenade count : none
    Infinite ammo : Disabled
    Speed: 100%
    Gravity : 100%
    Sensors: Off
    Active camo : Off
    Waypoint: No waypoint
    Forced color : Unchanged

    Infected:
    (Only one at start, two if there is many players ( 10+))

    Damage resistance : 90%
    Shield multiplier: Normal
    Shield recharge rate: 100%
    Damage modifer : 75%
    Primary weapon: Energy sword
    Secoundary weapon: None
    Grenade count : none
    Infinite ammo : Enable
    Speed: 125%
    Gravity : 50%
    Sensors: On (10 meters)
    Active camo : Off
    Waypoint: No waypoint (Alpha zombie have a waypoint for their allies)
    Forced color : Black

    There is five rounds of six minutes, but I haven't seen a human survive as long...

    I'm totally remaking the map for a V2, the gametype will be the same but the map will be played on 4, maybe 5 stories...

    Soo its just a bunch of collumns covered? sounds interresting but do the humans have any chance against those zombies? because it seems like the zombies got a adventage on this map.

    Well, yes the zombie have the advantage. The human have a small chance to win only if they work in team, with one or two shotguns + smg they can contain the infected until they run out of ammo... I've seen a single human who killed 10 zombies before dying, but when he run out of ammo...

    I'll add a pictures without the ceiling, so you'll be able to see how the map look.

    I like the idea of zombie classes; It'll keep the humans on their toes because they have to have different tactics for every class they face; Should mix things up well. Oh, and I wouldn't worry about your English, you speak it better than most who use it as their primary language. =)
