Do you keep all your armours ranks and credits from the betaif you buy the game or does it reset them all?
Pretty sure the ranks reset, i know for a fact that armor does. so spend all those credits while you can
Proof? I sure hope not, I'm saving for the 20,000 helmet ;P I wanna see in the dark straight away when the full game comes out!
I'm assuming so...it's a beta, for heaven's sake, not a full game! I've seen very little (nearly none at all) games that keep any of your info from their beta. So, yes, the 90% chance is that everything will be reset...
Darn but the beta is also the multiplayer demo because they are not releasing a demo so the beta is both and for bad co. 2 i belive you can keep your ranks ect from the multiplayer demo so i thought you might be able to with this?
???? Sorry, I can't....figure out what you're saying...I'm going to guess you said that in the Battlefield Bad Company 2 beta you could keep your ranks from the multiplayer demo, which I don't think was true, I can't confirm that but I don't remember starting at a higher level. You may have confused it with having veteran status in previous Battlefield games, which gave you a level up at the beginning and a couple of instant unlocks. The beta is NOT a multiplayer demo. It's a BETA.
I know but i dont belive bungie are making a demo for reach (they might be but im unsure) and if they are not then the Beta would Be the demo to (it pretty much is a demo that the creators learn from to make the real game better)
Just because they aren't making a separate demo, doesn't mean they're somehow forced in to treating this as a demo as well as a beta. A demo displays a section of a final game, a beta is a mid-development version of a game. They're two different things, and it doesn't make much sense to collate them both in this case, let alone draw conclusions from that. The game is going to change before final release, possibly quite drastically, so it would make sense to reset everything gained in the context of the beta when the final release appears. I can't remember where I heard it, but I seem to remember some official confirmation on this as well.
This thread is full of "thinks", I'll add to that. I don't think any stats, ranks, credits or armour perms will carry over to Halo: Reach, the full game. I definitely remember either hearing or reading that stocking up your credits hoping to buy the most expensive item in the full game on day 1 will not work. They said you should buy the things in the Reach Beta because they will not be there in the full game. Besides, its just common sense. Anything and everything is liable to change between this Beta build and the final game. Hypothetically, if Bungie changed Reach in to a 3rd person, squad, turn based strategy shooter then you would have earned all of those credits in a totally different game! Of course, I sort of expect some people not to believe those of us saying they won't carry forward but it has been stated that everyone starts from scratch when the full game ships.
No you dont its stated in the "preview the beta" video. And besides this isnt the final game, Bungie will probaly be changing things in the game from now to release so it would make sense for the multiplayer stats to reset.
I know they won't transfer, cause Bungie said so... Supply Depot > Credits & Rank. Also.. Whilst researching, just saw that guy already posted, but I thought you guys might wanna re-read a few things x
