Ok! So...I would like to post a map of my friends that I am helping get out into the Halo world, but I am having trouble understanding exactly wut I should do...(once I figure this out, I'll turn it into the post for the map)
You should've just posted this in the forge discussion forum, or just read some stickies to find out how to post your map. You just need to embed the pics (from photobucket or something, it doesn't work straight from b.net). You'll need to put a dl link, and a short description of the map. Requestiong lock. Oh, welcome to forgehub.

ok and very sorry for posting in the wrong column...but what do you mean a dl link? I know you mean download, but the rules say that it cant be from bungie.
What I mean by that is a hyperlink to a map in someone's file share (it can't link to the file share, it has to be linked to the map) so people can download it. So, you put in the URL, link it to the page you want (your friend's map in your file share) and done.
Put in a map name, description of the map. and a few pictures. 5+ would be nice. Put a AL Link to the map and its gametype and your in! For pictures i recommend: Tinypic.com For your map link, put your map on your file share, after that, put the link to it in the post. or put the map in the file set
