Im making this new map called, Proximus, and it's supposed to be Conquest on Foundry. I'm already pretty much done, except I can't figure out where to put certain weapons, and I'm having trouble making the territories just right.

Now before you reply, please note that I already read all of the Conquest Guides posted on ForgeHub. But none of them explain in detail about where to place the dual weild weapons. And one said to have the territories touching each other, however it did not state how many territories a Conquest map should have, how to set up the gametype to where the territories are catchable (i tested the map and only 60% of the territories out of the 9 you could actually capture), or what size, shape, etc. to make the territories.

Please help so I can finish this god darn map!

EDIT: Random question...after recently working on my map, i placed an additional two snipers down making a total of four. Is this allowed (four snipers)? 2 for blue. 2 for red/

For the weapons, just make sure that when you walk by them, that you can see them, and that they aren't too far out of the way, because in the end, they'll all end up on the floor.

The reason why it dosent go into the specifics like you have hear is because it varies for each map. If you have a small map you want all the territories touching and the want to fit so they go from one choke point to another.

With your problem on weapon choice. What you should do is make multiple versions with different weapon loadouts to see what setup works best. I find that placing powerful weapons. Brute shot/Snipers in either the bases to help stop spawn trapping or in the middle to give players a reason to be more aggresive.

If you need any more help just msg me on here or on XBL

i know where to put the power weapons, i just don't know where to put the dual weilds. i had an idea to hang them on the wall by geomerging weapon holders into them...the only problem is, where do i put them?

as for the territories, my map is small but the layouts big, i.e., it's like a long tunnel passage, if you know what i mean. i was gonna have them touching but i thought that if you're constantly capturing a territory because they cover the entire map, that's bad. idk.

can you add me on xbl? coop with me on forge or something to tell me what you think. thanks for the help btw

It seems like it, doesn't it? No, it doesn't play out like that. Most people are in the center-ish of a territory when it's captured so you end up walking for a few seconds before entering another. This way you're either defending or capturing, it works out. Make sure they're touching. And I'm not seeing your other problem. You just don't know where to place some dual weilds?

Open space? Leaning against a wall a good distance apart from another weapon. I don't see how difficult this can be.

OOOOOOOOOO. I C. That makes sense now. Thanks =]=]=]

I'm not sure where they should go. Cause I have two long, narrow passages that lead to the center territory, and i was thinking about putting 2 spikers/2 plasma rifles in there, but they could also lie on the floor in the two rooms that connect to them...

weapons should be along the pathways of halls. However the power weapons such as Bruteshot and sniper should be somewhat out of the way. Territories should have a small gap inbetween them, but have it so when you exit one territory you are capturing the next, as if the tip of your gun is in the new territory while the back of your foot is exiting the old territory. Sorry if thats confusing :)

For the weapons just look through all the good conquest maps to find a good one that is somewhat similar to yours in structure then copy the weapon layout. Ideally most weapons should be where a player can see them while walking along the map.
