I tried the demo, it was okay but I want to know the final game. I was going to rent it then buy a cheaper game. But can someone tell me what its worth?
Why don't you just rent it and find out yourself? If you like it, you can buy it. If you don't, then you haven't wasted your time and money buying it. Done. --- Side note, watch this: XPlay Review - Splinter Cell Conviction
Depends how much you play. I have it on my Gamefly now and it's looking like it won't last longer than 10-15 hours, so it's definitely a rent for me.
I bought the game. If you're just going to play it for the Single Player then definitely only worth a rent. Playing Co-Op with a friend though extends its shelf life; it's actually longer than the single player and is its own story. There are other fun co-opy things to do too. If you like replaying games for completing challenges (which there are a few) then that will also make it a more worthwhile purchase. Summary: Only in it for single player = rent. will play it with others + enjoy doing the PEC challenges = buy.
Eh, After about 15 hours its starts to get really annoying, the cover system is actually quite bad, I take cover next to a door, Press "A" to open that door. And Archer (I am playing Hunter mode) proceeds to open the door and go back into cover ON THE NOW OPEN DOOR FACING ALL THE ENEMIES. There are times that you will aim at an enemy from behind cover and go to fire but the moving to fire part throws your entire aim off and you end up just shooting next to him and alerting everyone. It just gets worse the more you play it. I would recommend a rent, that way you can get all the fun parts out of it but you wont have it long enough to be disappointed.
This is my opinion as well. Even though some parts of the game are like what killroy said, It's not that bad and the game life is extended from the multiplayer.
i like the stealth-action-lolz. playing through over and over makes me lol @ the stupid stuff i can do
Good thing I never played the older Splinter Cell games. I did play like the first hour or so of Double Agent, and by golly I actually liked it.
