So I went to St. Louis for Supercross this weekend, I'll probably detail that in the Monday thread, I posted a couple of pictures in the Post your picture thread, but this thread is for some of the serious photographs I took of the St. Louis arch today. I love taking pictures and I can't wait to take photography next year for my senior year. So here they are:

Also, can someone tell me a site that would allow me to upload and embed the fullsize and full quality images of these, which are double, if not triple the size.

I love the last one the best!

I don't like the angles on the others, but it looks cool. For some reason it feels as if it has been rendered in a 3D rendering program due to the lighting, so if that is what you were going for, than it's terrific.

Upload them to imageshack, they don't resize the image.

Also, did you use a Point and Shoot Camera, or an SLR? And, did you mess with anything settings in particular, or was it auto?

I love all of them. I'd retouch the last one to get rid of the pond scum and brown patches of grass.

Ha, I can feel you, I have a huge passions for photography as well...AND EDITING...
Hope you don't mind, I edited that last one a little bit...just a little 10 minute edit...remove the people, patches of grass, leaves in the water..messed with saturation and contrast:

When I took the ones that you think were done in a different program, I simply placed my camera on the arch and messed with the angle, rotation, and position of the camera to how I liked it, and took the shot. All of the photos I took are done in normal default camera settings, I actually have no idea what any of the specific settings are that you said, I only know how to take normal shots, yet what you mentioned is most likely something I'll learn in Photography this year.

I love it man, it looks great.

I haven't had the chance to get on PS yet, and the lake looked even worse in real life, I spent like five minutes trying to get an angle that didn't have tons of trash in it, seriously the pond was dirty like no other. But thanks a lot it looks way better.

Also, here are are all the pictures in there full size below, they are hotlinked and thumbnailed.

Just wait until the Content Aware Fill in CS5. You'll probably able to lasso up the whole pond with all it's scum, hit delete, and have the **** removed. :D

I know man, after seeing the tutorial video of that, CS5 is going to open so much more possibilities when it comes to photo editing and even just the general possibilities in PS alone.

You were downtown this past weekend the 16-18th or last weekend? lol would be crazy but I would of have no clue that you would be there. Thanks for the compliment though man.

Here's a couple more pictures too.
