    City Streets

This is a map I, E iNGLouRIouS 3 made a long time ago, back when my name was xX NinJitzu Xx. If you are still caught up over the name change, it is like how a caterpillar changes into a butterfly. Now on to the map:

City Streets is a map made solely for the Minigame called Splatters on City Streets. The idea was to provide the aesthetic feel of being in the streets of a large city and among large buildings, while providing wide roads for gameplay. The game is very simple. There are two (or more) teams. Each team should consist of at least 2 players. I have found the best games are with teams of 3 or 4. Each player spawns with only a sword, moves at 125% speed, is only affected by 90% gravity.

The goal of the game is to get splatters, which count for 5 points. Kills do not count as 0 points, to prevent against people using the guns on vehicles instead of the momentum of the vehicle. Beatdowns are worth 1 point, and assassinations are worth 2. This is to make sword kills worth something, the extra bonus for assassinations is to reward sneakiness.

To balance the situation of having a vehicle versus not having a vehicle, swords can melee drivers out of vehicles, and helpful equipments are spread around the map. The gravity and speed are set so that a person can jump over and effectively ninja a boosting ghost. Here are some screenshots of the setting, City Streets:

This shows some aesthetic vehicles and a tall building.

This shot shows a tall building with an aesthetic sky bridge.

This is supposed to be like a highway.

    Ghosting on the streets.

    Still ghosting on the streets.

Take a look, get some customs going, and enjoy. I could testify in court with a lie detector that I have never had a bad game on this map.

    EDIT: Action Shots

Man, the Aesthetics look amazing. Even without a whole lot of merging it still looks fantastic. Would be awesome just to walk around let alone fight on. Can't help feeling that I can't see the whole map from the pics though. Good job nonetheless. 4/5

Man you have soo many great maps on the go... I didnt even know about this one. You have been known to deliver smooth gameplay time after time, so there is no doubt in my mind this will be another hit. I cant wait to get some big games on this map, maybe rack up a Vehicular Manslaughter or 2.- If you ever need a tester dont hesitate to ask :)

Well, you guessed it. This map was made without a single merge. Every single piece is placed, and the only advanced technique was floating (not very advanced.) I think it accomplished my goals though aesthetics-wise (see last picture, it gives you a feel about playing on the map.)

The reason you didn't know about his one is I made it way back before I could interlock. Still one of my best games ever. I thought I should post it, as I just found it on my hardrive, on my other account.

this looks pretty realistic, but i cant helb but think that it woulld be rather tricky to get a splatter against a player with 90 percent gravity and 125 percent speed. i guess i'll just have to test it out. looks good though.

I had no problems with splattering people, since there are many blind corners and changes in elevation it is difficult to anticipate danger.
It was great because alot of people would jump to try to evade the ghost... But at 90% gravity Id leisurely wait for them to come back down before I splattered them...

I was really surprised at how well balanced it was-
    Ghost>Sword
    Chopper>Ghost
    Sword>Chopper

    So simple it was excellent!

Well thank you for the review. From the score (the last shot in the action photos,) I think everyone knows you had no problem splattering people. :)

The gameplay is not all together THAT simple though. If you are crafty with the sword and jumping, you can hit out a boosting ghost or chopper driver. Also, shooting with the vehicles can remove anyone from any vehicle. The equipments also add more confusion and fun to the mix.

I don't know but I feel like it would be better with weapons. The map itself is not bad, pretty good aesthetics but the 90% gravity is sort of bothering me. I guess it's because I'm into competitive maps more.

This gameplay is awesome.. I just downloaded it today and hopped on with 2 other friends.. I think that it would be alot of fun with maybe a few more vehicles so that it could accommodate some larger parties.. Overall I would give it a 4/5 gameplay and 5/5 for aesthetics....
