I have had a turtle beach X1 headset for quite a while and it's been extremely reliable.

I was just sitting here wearing them without anything sound playing when I suddenly noticed I was breathing extremely loud. The thing is, I wasn't breathing loud at all it was actually the mic playing the sound of me breathing back through the headset... I realise that more advanced headsets are designed to do this so that you can hear yourself however I am certain X1's are not supposed to do this.

I also noticed afew days before this that both my pc speakers and my headset were giving out white noise constantly, this is still happening so I think it may be linked.

They're not broken.. Infact I suppose they're better than before but I really just can't find a logical explanation of how this would happen.

Has this happened to anyone else or is there a possible explanation?

If it happened on both simultaneously, is it not more likely to be your sound output jack?

Wow I feel stupid now. It was the computer playing back the microphone recording.. Never knew it could do that.
