    Current Party:
    Typhlosion (Cinder) - 53 > General starter
Feraligatr (Lockjaw) - 55 > Hard Physical hitter
Shade (Gengar) - 52 > Sp. Attacker w/ destiny bond
Blitz (Dragonite) - 56 > Generally awesome. Have no plans for it, except to hit things and kill them.
Girafarig (Chomptail) -54 > Mirror Coat-er. Will destroy anything unlucky enough to take it straight to red with a sp. attack, which is most people due to it's dark/ghost immunity.
Lucario (Anubis) - 52 > Again, nothing planned. I just like Lucarios.

Feraligatr is all you need. It learns ice fang so that takes care of any dragon pokemon.

It's a remake of Silver with the suicune sub-lot from crystal thrown in. It does seem liek a direct sequel to Fire Red/Leaf green rather than original Red/Blue/Green, because of the character designs (Blue's ginger, Red is styled liek Fr/Lg hero, etc.)

Thanks for the TM's mate! Now, I just need to rape-level my Pokemon -- then off to the Pokemon league!

EDIT #1 : I'm in a dilemma, I have a Growlithe level 36, and at level 48 Growlithe learns Flare Blitz, whereas Arcanine doesn't. I'm at the Kimono Girls and my Growlithe is almost useless to me, since it's not evolved. I have a Fire Stone, but I want Flare Blitz. What do you guys think?
Also, Flare Blitz can't be 'Move Tutored'.

Well, flare blitz is nice since its perfect accuracy and strong, but You should be fine with just flamethrower or heat wave. Downside to flare blitz is it hurts you a fair amount.

This is what I'm teaching arcanine:
    crunch
    extremespeed
    flamethrower
    and some other move

You could breed growlithe and flare blitz is an egg move.

I was thinking of doing this, but it's taking so long to get to level 48, not to mention I don't know where to train him!

That really depends on how into the game you are. Judging by your previous posts I'd say you are on your way to the Indigo Plateau. Victory Road would probably be the best place to train. That's where I trained before I faced the Elite Four.

I tried playing Voltorb Flip so I can catch a Dratini. I'm terrible at it. I think I've got a better chance of getting a Dratini at the Dragon's Den then I do at the game corner.

    EDIT:
Just caught one at level 40 :D

    From level 1 - 6
-train anywhere inbetween your home town and the first gym.

    From 7-12
    -train in the ilex forest

    From 12 - 18
-Train inbetween the ilex forest and goldenrod (grass by the day care)

    From 18 - 21
-Train just south of ecreteak city (grass directly south, very close to pokemon center)

    From 21 - 28
-Train in the grass between mohogany town and the ice path (you have to surf to get there and there is lickitung in that grass)

    From 28 - 34
-End of the ice path or dircectly south of blackthorn (kind of a hit or miss at this level to me)

    From 34 - 40
    -End of victory road

    From 40 - onwards
-Anywhere around mount silver which you need all 16 badges or just battle trainers.

Thats what I have found is the best and quickest way. I got an espeon from a level 1 eevee up to 53 in a day just doing this (granted I was basically playing nonstop)

Well, heart gold is the first pokemon game i've picked up in 2 years (last was diamond). I've gotten all badges and beaten red. I am creating a new team now, starting from ground up. I'm thinking:
Charizard, Roserade, Luxray, Milotic, Hippowdon, and Gardevoir. Does this team seem good? I used pokemon marriland's team builder and they are well balance IMO. If anyone could give me any tips or alternatives, thanks.

I'd switch luxray for ampharos. Reason is ampharos has a higher special attack so you can get a better use of the electric attacks like thunderbolt and discharge.

This wouldn't really matter but I would switch out roserade for vileplume. I just like having better defense then roserade has so that would just be a personal choice. You would lose some special attack but gain defense with vileplume.

Yeah, I was thinking about putting in ampharos. I probably will, i like its move set better and the stats for ampharos look more well rounded. About vileplume and roserade though, i don't know which to choose. I think i'll stick with roserade, because of the high special attack and defense... plus the moves/tm's it can learn

Does anyone have any thoughts on what moves I should teach my Sneasal (eventual Weavile)? I'm going to have to teach it atleast one HM (preferably Cut) and I'm unsure of what other moves to teach it. I was thinking Ice Beam, Ice Punch and a decent dark move. Any thoughts or ideas for what the move set could be?
EDIT: Any suggestions for Aerodactyl's moveset aswell? It's got fly as it's only HM.

If its gonna be used for battling, don't teach it cut, or atleast remove it with the move deleter once you dont need it anymore. Next, with ice beam and ice punch, only choose one, because you want to vary your moveset. Personally, I recommend ice punch for weavile because he has HIGH attack, and ice punch is physical, whereas he has low sp. atk and ice beam is special.

Anyway, as a moveset, I recommend something like...

    Ice Punch
    Night Slash or Dark Pulse
    Brick Break

and then for a final move, idk, something like Surf, Aerial Ace, Poison Jab or Dig

    just my thoughts though...

    EDIT: For Aerodactyl:

I honestly can't say what would be the best moveset for him. He can learn amazing moves, so I'll name some to keep in mind, as well as some tips I can think of:

    Fly
    Crunch
    Rock Slide
    Earthquake
    Flamethrower
    Dragon Claw/Pulse
    Sky Attack
    Aqua Tail
    Heat Wave
    Iron Head
    Ominous Win

Just keep in mind he is built around Attack and Speed so out of those, physical attacks might be the better choice in most. Good luck!

In my old team I had a level 60 Weavile. I had taught it Night Slash, Arial Ace, Ice Punch and Brick Break. For Aerodactyl i had Earthquake, Rock Slide, Flamethrower, and Thunder Fang (didn't work on it much). I try to teach them moves that counter some weaknesses and give stab. Normally I don't teach my team hm's except for fly or surf.

Edit: Piggelz has some good move suggestions for aerodactyl too, he's got a good list

Thanks for that Pigglez and Blitz. Just realized though that I need a Heart Scale to teach it Ice Punch. Anyone happen to know where I can get one?
For Aerodactyl I think I'll go with Fly, Dragon Claw, Earthquake and Dragon Pulse.
