Fantastic looking map. I've been waiting for you to post it since I notice the picture in your sig. I also enjoy the emphasis to use vehicles. One comment of improvement would be to hide the flags of the tin cups. Other than those flags the maps is very aesthetically pleasing.
S3C0ND! This is probably one of the more epic and incredible maps I've seen in a while. Lately I've seen quite a few maps that would've been great a year or two ago, but two years later, it's either innovation or disqualification (Yeah, that doesn't really make sense, but that's the only thing that has a sound to it). It's been over two and a half years since the games release. You have to make all of the advanced skills discovered a month or even a week ago standard. Otherwise, it'll just fit in with all of the others. This is why this map is considered professional and this is why I'm posting on it. If anyone has an answer to why you would comment on a map made by someone who doesn't know any of the latest techniques? To give them constructive criticism? That causes a flame war because the inexperienced forger takes it too bad. And even if they don't, what's the point of improving a map that would take so long to make right? May as well just remake the entire map. No one with common sense would do that unless they really thought their map had potential. And as far as the map goes: Action: 10/10 Action describes how much action is in a map. If a map is linear rather than open, there would be more action because of the size of the space there is to play in. Having a high score in action isn't necessarily a good thing (it leads to much spawn killing) or a bad thing (more excitement and makes you feel more into the game). Aesthetics: 10/10 Aesthetics, or looks, defines how good a map is. Have they used something that no one has seen before? Made your jaw drop or even make you play the map just to look at the fancy colors and lighting effects used very strategically throughout the map? High aesthetics means you'll definitely be looking at some pretty sights as you play through the map. Repetition: 7.5/10 Repetition means repetitiveness. Having a low score in repetition shows that the map has a good chance of getting old very fast. What's the point of playing something that you've played in exactly the same way over and over?
OMIGOD! I've been following this on forge-union for weeks, and boy am I glad to see it up. The Pelicans are freakin' cool, but I can't really say much else, as I haven't been able to get a game on it as of yet (my friends are all Infection lovers, meh). Well, I'll try to get a game or two going and I'll tell you how it plays out. Edit: Aesthetics: 10/10 Aesthetics, or looks, defines how good a map is. Alright D! I remember testing this, and telling you to make spawning ships (which you decided a pelican would be cooler and I can't deny this.) Truly a map to be proud of. Well done! On a more diabolical note... I absolutely refuse to read posts that have any grammatical errors, spelling errors or even typos. You have to try harder to fix it! Why not a sixth time??? ^Im not serious^
i remember testing this with conquest, and it played out great. the gameplay was very fun, and fair for conquest, and i also enjoyed the mini-game "lone sniper" on it as well; it was a very unique twist on duck hunt, in a sense. and of course, the aesthetics are for sure a 10/10, not a single flaw. i especially like the pelicans, and how they're the spawn area. great job.
