im building an infection map. we have all played that big house thats on the x2EXP weekend when infection is up there, and in the attic, there is a crate that you can knock over to block the stairs. in my map i want to have a crate that, when moved manually, will stay there, not disapear and respawn. What respawn settings should i set to it so that it wont disapear when moved, and won't respawn back to its origonal placing.
    thanks!

[ im editing this b/c many of you are saying things like having locking doors and switches, that would work but its not what i want, i dont want a door to never open, i just dont want it to change once i put it into place... i dont want it to be un enterable, i just want to be able to move it, and leave, eat some cookies b/c mulah told me to, come back, and have it be where i moved it to unless another player moves it... it seems like thats not possible, no matter what it going to disapear and respawn... to get it to stay in one place for as long as possible should i det the respawn time to the max. time? and thanks to anyone who offered to help.]
--- :) yeah! someone has a statement in their sig that was said to me... im cool, no doubt about that.

I'm pretty sure you would set the respawn time to never respawn.

    To do this:
1: Go to the object you wish to not respawn
    2: press 'x'
    3: move to 'respawn time'
    4: press 'a'
5: take a short break and eat several cookies for your hard work.
6: move your left thumbstick until the highlighted area reads 'never'
7: reward yourself with several extra cookies

The never respawn option means it will never come back, not never leave.

There is not permanent way to have a crate stay forever, the only thing I can think of, is a gravity lift that spawns and pushes the block into the doorway.

(you could have a max/min switch so a gravity lift is destroyed somewhere else on the map and forces that one to spawn)

thats funny **** and i'm quoting it for my signature mwahahaha

I do not think there is a way to stop the crate from disappearing I do not think putting the respawn on 'never' will work. I would say that the barrier used in that map you were talking about probably disappears too. Maybe put it on instant respawn so that you can knock it straight back in to block the door in a matter of seconds. I think this may be the best way to do it

You could make a doorway switch, kinda like what MetaWaddleDee was describing. If you need some help you can send me a friend request over XbL and I'll see if I can help you in-game.

What I was thinking is different; make an unbreakable pallete barrier. I'm not gonna explain it, but it involves placing a shield door so close that you can't destroy it BOOM BOOM :punch: ... srry listinin to my iPod... You could also suspend a never spawning pallet in the air holdin up a crate that insta spawns so it just replaces itself... Yeah.

You could always just make a wall that spawns after a certain amount of time since you want the doorway to be permanently closed...

Most movable objects will disappear when everyone stops looking at them... which always cracks me up when I get stuck in games of Omega Journey and everyone thinks they'll make a difference by shooting the barriers.

    1. Look at the object while in forge (close enough to interact with it)
    2. Press [X]
    3. Press [down] twice
    4. Press [A]
    5. Select [never]
    6. Press [A]
    7. Take a break (do NOT touch the controller)
    8. Press [X]
    9. Select [run time min]
    10. Select the highest possible value
    11. Press [A]
    12. Press twice

Basically set to never respawn and run time minimum at its maximum. Ideally this should force the object to never dissapear and never respawn at its old location, however sometimes this causes it to instead respawn at random times.
